If any coach on the defensive side of the ball isn't cleaning out his desk tomorrow

Idk, I feel like GC's coaching style and his entire program approach is so distinct from every other coach I've seen that I would be surprised if we could just plug in a "better" DC and see the kind of results you might expect. "Better" DC's are probably used to doing things like yelling at their players when they screw up, having a depth chart, benching people, etc. I don't know how much of that is actually going on, because I don't know nothin' at all, but from way out in orbit, it sure seems to me like we do a lot less of it than other teams do.

I'm not sure what our defensive staff is doing to correct problems they see on film each week, primarily because none of them are getting corrected and in fact the defense is getting worse every single game now. If we brought in a new DC, would he be able to use his methods, or would GC intervene to protect the environment he has set up for recruiting purposes? Not a question I know the answer to, but it's a question I have when I think about replacing just the DC.
I think the thing is that it's a question we have to answer the hard way. Otherwise, as someone said last week, the line of replacements is going to be short and thin.

Fair enough, but we might have to choose which line we want to be short and thin: the hiring line or the line into the stadium. I'm happy I'm not the one who has to make these decisions, although I like to think I could hold my nose and do it if I were paid the same amount they are being paid.

Breh, I have seen every episode of that madness, and the movie film for theaters. You are not alone fren.
I am not ashamed to say that I have seen movie film for theaters more than any other movie, by an absolutely massive margin. Surpassed a hundred views years ago, I have no doubt of that. It is one of the all time miracles in film history, not only that the movie turned out so perfect, but that anyone actually let those people create a full length, theater-release feature.

I don’t want to hear excuses, but that’s why we play chicken ball in the house, now you pitch that chicken!

We ain't got no holly leaves over there, we ate that whole bush yesterday. That's why the bathroom hurts so bad!

edit: Also, Shake's delivery of "now you pitch that chicken" is still one of the funniest things ever aired on television.

You and me both. I don't know what coordinators would be suitable under a Collins regime, or if any amalgamation of them could be successful. If he cleans house, he's probably going to be here another two years,. If he doesn't, and we suck major league balls again next year, I think any coach worth a öööö will recognize that Tech was left with no choice. But then again, I am also clueless. I can't pretend I understand how these ööööing people think.

i think you are spot on right .. like i said earlier this week. CGC may be delusional. He really may not think there is a problem as long as he remains positive. Delusional and arrogant.

After the game today, my wife, who has never been interested in football, said, "Who do you think still believes what he (Collins) is saying?" I said, "He might, but nobody else does." It's very sad. I don't think we're doing anybody any good by keeping him another day. And that includes Coach Collins, himself, on whom I think this situation is taking an enormous toll. The merciful thing to do would be to not make him stand on the sideline during these next two games.

His buyout is too high to remove him just to protect his psyche. He has to stand on the sideline not just this next 2 games; but next season as well.

Nathan Burton is listed as Co-DC and Safeties. Not sure who coaches the CBs
Popovich. Neither had been a P5 assistant before Tech. That is the problem. Key, Wiesehan and Dixon are the only assistants with P5 experience before Tech and Key is the only one with significant experience.

We were lured in with the promise of juice, and boy did we get it.

(I have wanted to post that gif for a few weeks but none of these ööööing losers watch the best show of all time. I am glad it will be meaningful to someone.)
Still love ATHF
