IF it is true that DRad wanted WM and was shot down THEN DRad will be leaving at first opportunity.

My biggest fear has always been this process would turn into a cluster****.

I am hopeful that we can get a solid coach in here but it needs to happen SOON.

Time is NOT on our side.

what? now there's a rumor DRad will leave if he can't hire "his" HC....This is all coming undone...I have heard it all now...what is your source?

Yep, it's a tough day for the Braine haters...

We are obviously running out of things to speculate about...

I doubt Muschamp was shot down, if that were the case then why was he ever even interviewed? Seems like Clough and Rad would be on the same page prior to taking anyone to the board, if not before this whole process even started.

When all this is over someone should compile a list all of the rumors that were floated on here to remind us how crazy all this has been...what a long strange trip its been!

someone needs to start a top 10 lists...crazy rumors during the coach search...

Yeah maybe during the press conference announcing our new HC they should unbutton their shirts to reveal "THWG" t shirts...just like the pilots during the GT vs uga game...would get the new HC off to good start!

He may leave if he does get his guy, there are no guarantees in life.

actually before CG was hired the NCST coach was going to be our coach but was shot down by the board. It was even reported by those idiots on 790, but that was a different situation b/c O'brien was asking about changing majors and some stuff that sent up red flags.

I am saying IF b/c there is a rumor that happenned. If it is true then when LSU (or someone else) comes a calling DRad will leave.

That is common sense. If you are hired to run a company can cannot bring in YOUR people you will leave that company given an opportunity.

Why are some people so convinced that DRad is gonna bolt? Jeez, have some freaking self-confidence!

This is a good job. This is a good school.

I've spoken to the man a couple of times in person for extended periods of time, and the truth is that he really likes it here.

I'm not saying he's never gonna leave. But, please, quit creating crazy scenarios about him leaving every five minutes.

A bunch of sensationalized crap

Lol.

If Dan Radikovich can't work with an oversight board (an integral part of his job description) then he's not a good AD.

To date, I have been very pleased with Dan Radikovich's professionalism. Part of being a professional AD is working with the administrative staff of his university, a.k.a. HIS BOSS. I'm sure he's professional enough to not whine and quit if he happened to have one candidate get shot down by a committee who's sole purpose is to vet his choices.

Macon,

You would think that, but that would go against the consistent idiotic actions of a powerful group of "Tech Men."

Taxes and death! Unless you're an illegal alien, in which case, just death.
:hugelaugh:

Don't forget, that if the Demash!ts get their way they will get free Healthcare as well. Pretty good deal don't you think? Free healthcare coverage and you don't have to pay a dime for it!

When I heard that JT was interim thru the bowl game I was CONVINCED that this was an audition for him and if he managed the team and won the game he would get the nod. It seems obvious to me thats the intent.

I assumed all this other interview activity was contingency planning in case JT fails. Am I that far offbase? Where's the evidence that this is not the case?

For all intents and purposes Dan Radakovich was just terminated by Wayne Clough.

Aw, c'mon. ONE bowl game is no indicator of coaching skill whatsoever. The interim coach tells the coordinators to do what ever they've been doing all year and talks to the media. That's the extent of his responsibilities. That's it.

I haven't been keeping perfect track, but it sure seems the fonts who didn't like the decision to fire Chan are the ones who are latching onto every negative rumor about the next coach hire.

It seems you are hoping for failure to prove yourself "right" although the posts are always passive-aggressive to express "concern".

To me, this behavior is no better than the Buzzof clown posse secretly hoping for Tech losses to further their agenda of getting rid of Chan.

1) I find it very unlikely that DRad would make the decision he did without understanding the process to replace a coach and having fundamental support in that decision.

2) Having support in a decision doesn't mean having carte blanche to do what you want. Most people who have made hiring decisions in a company know that it is better to make sure the major stakeholders are behind the decision.

3) I still believe the process will provide us with a good coach. That good coaach may or may not be successful at GT. Unknown guys sometimes do a great job and "can't miss" prospects sometimes fall short of expectations. Remember Ditka in New Orleans?

What process? The actual search process that you know nothing about and which, for all you know, could be going as smooth as silk or the intarweb message board representation of the search process.

Hopefully you can at least acknowledge the extreme likelihood that there are probably few, if any, similarities between the two.
