"We're back baby!"

..I am going to kill myself. I don't just mean this week, I mean ever. Why is it that whenever Miami wins a football game, their fans take it to indicate that they have officially, instantly returned to their former glory.

I don't think I've ever personally witnessed a Miami fan outside of games at BDS@HGF.

I'm right there w/ ya Jacket. All I hear is "GT is gonna get beat down, The U is back."

Same thing we were hearing before last November's game......

its all about thug U. Shannon has done a pretty good job with keeping these kids out of jail, but their image is still tarnished. On Monday, watching FSU and Miami, even with all the incidents involving FSU and UF players the past couple of years, Miami is still , in my mind, the most thug-like.

They'll never get 4 national championships in one decade again, and they keep focusing on that instead of getting players who wont fight off AND on the field...

but they beat Florida State on a 4-down defensive stand in the Red Zone, so that means they can beat anyone in the nation!!! :laugher:

Where have you actually encountered a UM fan?

yeah, I haven't actually seen a Miami Hurricane fan since the days of Bernie Kosar.

Lack of long-term vision due to an egotistical craving. Likely but not necessarily coupled with a general lower IQ with their fanbase.

When they face a bradford-less OU and manage to pull out a win the nation will never hear the end of it.. michael irvin's head will explode from all the swagger that came back... all of a sudden there will be more miami fans in the streets than you can count

As long as we beat them before that, I am fine with it. If they beat us, well, they deserve to talk then.

U of Miami is like France. They're people are doushy cause they think want to be relevant but in their hearts, they know they aren't.

Miami has some obnoxious fans, they are just a different breed. It comes from all the bandwagoners who put so much into following them thru the glory days, they just can't fathom them not being a title contender anymore. We keep hearing the U is back, I'm still not convinced, they do it every year after they win a game. Coaching is still a big issue for them.

I remember the game in Fall 2004. They were in first fans I had encountered in Boddy Dodd stadium who cursed me. Haha. Classless.
