If Tech beats Western Carolina, but loses to Ole Miss, UCF, and Pitt...will head coach Geoff Collins be fired and an interim named for the 2022 season?

I voted "Who is Coach Collins," because Tech is now past the point of losing being our problem. Our problem is now apathy. That is a lot harder to overcome than losing. People will not be swayed by winning a few games at this point. Tech has to convince them it's committed to winning. That takes more than just winning, it takes change. And more than just changing the Head Coach. Tech athletics is in serious jeopardy right now. Sports is where people turn for escape, not depression.

If Geoff really loves Tech as well as he says he does, the best way I can see this going down is TSTAN coming to him and saying that we need to go in a different direction, we'll go ahead and pay you your 2023 salary which is around 2.9 million and Geoff agreeing to that and both sides parting ways amicably.

I suspect Collins loves money much more than he loves Tech and he will do nothing that reduces his payout. This is his last big pay day.

Some of you clearly haven’t been paying attention until very recently. This has been discussed over and over again in the off-season. That tells me you aren’t vested enough in this to be outraged.

Some people force themselves to forget because a) it is unbelievable GT would sign such a stupid self-destructive contract and b) after being told they want to forget; so they have to be reminded.

I can only imagine if LSU found themselves in this situation lives would be in jeopardy.

I don't think there is any contractual reason we can't fire T'stan, hire a new AD and announce a new HC mid-season while CGC is still the official head coach. Just don't officially fire CGC or relieve him of duties until the season is over. Make him literally a dead man walking. Move CGC office to the men's bathroom like Buford Pusser did in Walking Tall. It would make some interesting color commentary during his final games.

Now that I have calmed down a bit, I'll go ahead and say that there is no way we lose all three (Ole Miss, UCF and Pitt). Clemson is pretty good and we hung with them for most of the night. If we can fix some dumb mistakes this week, we should have a decent shot to win each of those three- not win all three but at least 1 or 2.

Our guys showed a lot of fight last night. I respect that. Oh, and Dabo the clown can bite me.

The only clown in the building last night was Collins. Pitt is the only game I see Tech winning out of the next three after Western & Iam not sure the Jackets can win that one.

It amazes me when that score was 14-9 last night and Collins sent the field goal unit on the field that one of the other coaches didn’t question him about going for 2. It was obvious by then that points were going to be difficult to come by.

then again, that’s the kind of thing he should not even have had to think about. He should know that’s the call before the game even kicks off.
