We don't control our own destiny in any scenario.
GT, VPI, UVA, FSU, and Miami are all in the rotation right now. Of those teams, GT is the only one out of the BCS hunt, but is within one game (3 conference losses) of the others, and is standings eligible to go to any ACC bowl with a win over UVA.
There are still games of enormous significance left:
GT v. UVA
UVA v. VPI
Miami v. VPI
UNC v. Duke (bowl eligibility for UNC)
Clemson v. S. Carolina (bowl eligibility for Clemson)
In addition, the OOC games with Georgia and Florida could and probably will have some bearing on who goes where. For instance, if Miami is able to win out, beating VPI (who loses to UVA) in the final game, and get the BCS bowl, and Florida State loses to Florida, and GT wins out, the standings look like this:
Miami 9-2 (6-2)
FSU 8-3 (6-2)
Georgia Tech 8-3 (5-3)
VPI 8-4 (5-3)
Under that scenario, The Peach would LOVE an SEC-FSU matchup and the Gator had tremendous success with Georgia Tech in '99-'00. Tech fans would also spend more money in Jax than the home-state Noles.
Simply put, we need to win. We have much to play for!!!!!!
