If you are down on our coaching in any way

In principle, I agree with your statement. But in my opinon, on Saturday we were not the best team man for man. We just out played them for 53 minutes with a lot of heart, soul, and pure guts. Go back and look at a tape of the game, our D was very tired in those last two TD drives by FSU. In a close and physical game our lack of depth is going to cost us as it did with FSU. With that being said, we were still alive in the final two minutes and with a little luck we could have gotten into FG range. But it didn't happen, we lost. This game was, IMHO, no way blown. Am I happy about the loss--hell no. The only people celebrating this loss are Tech "fans" who want this coach to fail.

I am sure you felt no solace after all those games Tech lost under O'L

eary to lesser teams.

Because if you did, let me know who this mystery person is. You have NO idea what I want because we do not know each other personally! Until that day, your speculation is just that!

Until you know me personally - you have nothing to say in this matter.

MTA, if you are so high on this team, why did you pick them to lose 34-14 in the prediction contest? I know the contest is just a game, but I picked us to win in the contest and can take some positives from the game. Does it mean I accept losing? No.

109 rushing and 149 passing seems pretty balanced to me. Yes the Logan TD was memorable, but wasn't the only highlight, PJ ran one in too.

Every once and a while you win one, you lose one.

Didn't you pick GT over BYU as well - I come out ahead in this contest I picked GT to lose to BYU, Auburn and FSU (2 out of 3 for me)! Didn't you pick GT winning all three (1 out of 3 for you)!
You have an agenda against me but get your facts straight! I guess I know this game better then you!

That's irrational blather. NEVER in all my years of following any sport have I seen anything like this! It must be the hypnotic Chan spell or something.

I know how to fight off those spells - thank goodness! You're all under some potion Chan must have concocted when he arrived here.

Not trying to make you look bad Ms. Tech.. I dont make your posts.. you do.. I just pointed out a post you made.. I didnt make it .. you did... you dont need me to make you look bad..

And thanks for the laugh, but I dont think the 9 completions we made against Auburn was what beat them.. it was a balanced attack.. and we did run the ball .. much better than they did in fact..

And as far as a prediction contest goes.. I NEVER pick against Tech.. I would pick Tech to win if they played Oklahoma.. I dont care the circumstances, I never pick against Tech.. I usually go with who I want to win.. not who I think will win..

I dont have an agenda against you.. not at all.. in my opinion you are just someone who rants, and knows very little about the game of football.. nothing wrong with that..

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. All we can ask for is that our team was prepared and fought hard. They did those things, yet you still want to find someway to take away that. You need to go read Dodd's statement on the Hive.

Lady get a grip on yourself. What are you talking about? Are you so paranoid about things that you start reading meaning that is not there? Show me where in the above post that I accused you of anything. I began by honestly disagreeing with your statement that we had the better team. Man for man, we did not. However, IMHO, there are those on this board who would love to see this team go 1-11 just so they can pump up their chest and say “I told you so about this coach”. If you are not one of them—good for you. If you are—shame on you. Only you truly know that answer. I, like you, find no solace in losing to a lesser team (FSU was not). In fact, I find no solace in losing—period. No matter who the coach is. I was mad as hell on Saturday night that we lost--period, but I was really proud of the team and coaches for their efforts. Weren’t you? We still have a long way to go this season and I think we have a shot at a decent season barring injuries.

As far as your last statement—I have no desire to know you personally. And I believe I have the right, as you do, to civilly state an opinion on this board and I will do so every chance I get.

Have a nice day!

MsTA is still posting here? Maybe it's that new filter I got that censors all the posts filled with repetitive irrational nonsense. How about BeeWare, is he still around too?

But seriously, I stopped caring about BeeWare last year when he displayed how much of a coward he was by posting ignorantly and then ignoring those who proved him wrong. I've decided to do the same with MsTA as she is better off just copying one of her posts and using it every time she speaks here on StingTalk. I've seen nothing new in her posts since she first began her bashing of our program.

Beyond play calling, I have been very please with
the attitude and preparation that are evident in
the team these past few weeks. Those two factors
could result in a few upset wins we didn't expect.

FSU QB Chris Rix on the FSU radio post-game show:

Chris, why were you so much more effective in the second half versus the first half??

"Tech kept pressure on me the entire first half. For some reason, in the second half they backed off. I am not sure why but I am glad they did."
<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">The combination of Tech's defense backing off the QB rush AND the totally haphazard not-to-lose play-calling by Chan Gailey in the second half cost us a game that we not only could have won but WE SHOULD HAVE WON.

I was at the game and it was absolutely pitiful listening to all the FSU fans run their mouths after the game...in a game they KNOW they should have lost.

On cue, Beeware proves your point, Techfowl. Our coaches are phenomenal. We beat WF and Grobe loses ACC Coach of the Year to Chan.

Someone should tell Rix what he probably already knows. Half-ass u's offensive line resorted to holding a lot more in the second half, I'm sure the officials just couldn't see it.
