I need to see some intensity from our players.
Oh for god sakes.
We clearly need more swagger. Lol. Where's JTS?

I need to see some intensity from our players. I blame the coaching staff. If the upper classmen aren't getting it done, then put them on the bench and play the younger ones; that's the most obvious way to get a player's attention.

How does on see intensity? I want to see execution.
What I'm talking about is seeing one of our guys making two blocks on one play, not standing around watch TC run. I'm talking about our receivers holding a block two seconds longer even if the play is on the other side of the field. I want to see our guys on defense wrap up and not simply put a shoulder on the other guy.
Swagger Coordinator Ric Flair says:
"The #1 rule of swagger is that swagger always appears at minimum in Bold and Italics. It's swagger for god's sake. Your swagger just doesn't have any swagger if it's in a plain font with no effects. I would normally unload the underline and Wing Ding font on you here, but we need shore up our swagger fundamentals before moving on to advanced techniques."
"Girls, you can't be the first, but you can be the next."
Woooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A football player can play with intensity and still miss a block or miss a tackle. In fact too much intensity sometimes can lead to missing a block or a tackle --a player can be too geeked up and forget a particular blocking assignment or find himself out of position on the defensive side of the ball.
Making the extra block to get an extra few yards or wrapping up after laying a shoulder into a ball carrier to make sure he doesn't get a few extra yards --knowing where you're supposed to be and what you're supposed to be doing does come down to execution as a football player.
Is looking upfield before you catch the ball excessive intensity, lack of execution, lack of concentration, or other?
Intensity should be a square wave with a 2p period that is bandpass filtered with a p length bandwidth where p is the play length.Interesting. Intensity vs. discipline. What is the right mix?

Every time you see someone do that, you know they WANT to make a big play, but they temporarily forget you can't make a play without the ball.
Another example of excessive intensity, I think, is the 15 yard penalty late hit or hit out-of-bounds.
RB is the player I think of most regarding "excessive intensity." No one ever questioned his competitive spirit.

Swagger.
C'mon beej. I know you got that swagger in you!!!!!
Goddamnit. I just can't get this swagger thing right.
It's harder than it looks. No wonder we keep losing.
