Illegal UGA Recruiting

Do NOT do this. Get as much documentation as you can, and screw those bastards to the wall.

Well, this is a rather illegal event and by notifying Richt you really put him on the spot. Does he respond? What if he ignored the information and then you came out with the details?

By going to the NCAA, you just put him on the defensive and nothing happens of it. If Richt doesn't take action on his own BEFORE the NCAA gets involved then it's a whole lot more serious.

I still think you should send him a private letter.

I was there as well and it was very troubling to see something like that actually happening. However I think you would be hard pressed to obtain any actual proof unless anyone took pictures. I would send a letter to the UGAY AD. Although he might not be able to read.

All you give him is time to prepare, with lawyers guns and money. This is not a fight that a discussion board junkie can win. It's a fight for the NCAA. Compose all the proof possible, times, dates, names, hopefully a picture or two, submit it directly to the NCAA, and copy both the GTAA and the Clarke County police department. Also copy CNN. I have a contact at CNN who used to be the editor for the Technique, who'd be a good guy to get it in the hands of, to make sure no Georgia grads intercept it and trash it before it makes the headlines.

Do NOT give the UGA Cabal time to prepare. They are pros at dodging this kind of stuff, they have judges in their pockets, and they're going to be very willing to break laws to bury this. This needs to go to the NCAA and the media.

All you guys who saw it need to exchange personal info, write down in detail your own account of what happened, put that all in a letter, cosign it, include any other details you can (please please please tell me you have a cel phone photo) and distribute it to the authorities directly. Including CNN (national media as opposed to local media) is extremely important.

Edit:
Actually, let me shoot an email to my buddy at CNN (he also works very closely with the GTAA, writes for the alumni newspaper, and is friends with Wes Durham) an email and get his opinion on what to do with this. He would know much better than I.

Cell phones have cameras for a reason.

It's not like Tolley needs more work, but it is your sacred duty to follow through.

Word from my bud at CNN: (underlining and bolding is added by me)

GT definitely not interested. After that Tenn-Alabama drama, no one is looking to report another school, especially a rival. CNN doesn't cover
this stuff, and I've asked a friend at SI if they would care.

I would email Chip Towers and Doug Roberson about this. Honestly, the AJC is probably the only entity that would pursue this.

So there you have it.

I'd take his word as gospel.
