I'm at the game ...

The newest security bullshit at the game yesterday was the security person telling us over and over we could NOT stand on the stair landing on the north stands to watch the band play the stairs before the band enters the stadium. She essentially heckled us the entire time the band was playing, one older couple just complied and didn't watch the band. All of the landings had folks watching the band and none of those appeared to have security heckling them to "move to your seats, you can't stand here" while the band was playing. Worse still, our landing was predominantly GT fans, so GT fans were heckled to move while landings full of Clemson fans were left alone. She called her supervisor on her radio and made some reference to the fire marshall said we can't stand there.

I am beginning to despise Stansbury. I am leaning on not renewing next season, after a solid few decades of being a season ticket holder. Even down years before, we were at least allowed to have fun. Now, go to your seat and stfu is the new norm, I suppose. I'm 52 years old, have been watching the band from that landing since my season tix moved up there in 2003 or 2004 - right after the deck was built. I am tired of the security theater.

maybe MBob wasn't so bad after all. Perhaps Stansbury needs out the door ASAP too.

I agree. His bs new stadium rules pissed me off to a point where I didn't renew this year. You put a shit product on the field, and then install the tsa to run the stadium, go F yourself. I've reallocated my gt ticket $ to united games and concerts. Plenty of other live entertainment options in this town.

I’m sorry, but these responses come off as whiny crotchety and out of touch. You dropped your season tickets because you have to use a clear bag? Because there’s security? Nobody likes it but have you been to any major events, concerts, pro stadiums? It’s the way of the world today. It’s not stansbury’s fault, and to stop going to games because of that is sad.

It absolutely is Stansbury's fault. There was no more credible security threats this year than last year. And I don't give a single öööö what other teams do as security for their place.

Atlanta United literally has the exact same or even stricter of a policy, I was at the game last night. Didn't even matter the size of the bag, if it wasn't clear it wasn't going in.

I agree the policy is stupid, but don't act like nobody else does it when literally everybody else does it.

When did I say I gave a shit about what Atlanta United does? I don't give a crap about what they do, the Falcon's, or the mutts. We had a policy in place that worked fine. Nobody had snuck in C4 disguised as a Snicker's bar for all the years it was in place. I'm tired of the stupid security theater and the acceptance of it because some stupid ööööing soccer team does it

prices of concessions are through the roof
the game experience is... tough. there's no soul/no atmosphere.
i can't get the pre-game/post game show on the radio - i need the app.

I get it. having fans causes a security problem. bringing cars into the city isn't green and desirable.

what if i just stay home? does that work? we'll save the environment! Go hug a tree, hippy.

Must suck to realize how dumb you sound huh? Just grasping at any little thing you can take your anger out on to try and make yourself feel better about the fact that you are a loser. Poor guy.

For the record, I don't like soccer, and I have no desire to ever go to or watch a soccer game again. My girlfriend's parents bought the tickets for my birthday thinking it would be fun if we all went, and it would have incredibly rude to not go.

Security is not allowed to use common sense. They have to have a “one rule for everyone” and not be able to use their brain as circumstances arise. It’s really shameful.
