I'm calling it now, we win the MNC next year.

Pole?

You're deluded. We will have neither the depth nor talent on DL. We don't have enough OL depth either.
yep, but you left out--we have ONE WR back in '18 that has a catch, I call that a weakness

I'm pretty sure Jalen Camp had a catch one time that was negated by a penalty.

You're not going to win a ship without a dominant DL.
And this is why until we can start getting some 300+ lb monsters on the DL, we won't win a MNC. Look at the past few national champions..... Clemson, Alabama, etc all had/have future NFL STARTERS on their DL.

Can we squeak in the playoffs? Slim possibility but maybe. Have to win out this year and beat Clemson twice. Even if we win the ACC but lose to Clemson in the regular season, 10-2 (esp instead of 11-2) may not be good enough. Same applies to next year.

That said, we don't have the horses in the trenches to consistently compete with the Top 2-3 programs. iiwii

If that Dolphus kid can catch he has the best size of any of our receivers coming up. Hopefully, he will be a good one

Gray, Simmons, Askew, Johnson, and several youngsters can anchor the secondary. We should have a special year next season. As for NC talk, unfortunately Clem and Bama will probably play for it for the 4th consecutive year. The Cleveland Browns would lose to both of them.

I'm not so sure we miss the CFP at 10-2 if we finish the season with wins over VT, UGA, and Clemson in close succession. There's a possibility that all 3 of those will be Top 10 teams, and I wouldn't be surprised if UGA and Clemson are both Top 5 when we play them.

Sadly UGA has a chance of beating undefeated and ranked in the top 3 when we play them because SEC East is horrible. The mutthurt will be delicious after they lose to us, lose to Bama in the SEC championship game, which would effectively push them out of the top 10 and out of the CFP.

Go Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, Georgia Tech.

Pole fails. It lacks Keith Marshall's little brother as a choice.

Since it is truly mythical now we have an actual playoff, anyone can win a MNC.

You could still win an MNC the old fashioned way, by being #1 in the final AP poll despite not having won the playoff. It's not likely to happen, but it could if we have a season where there are 5 major undefeateds and 1 doesn't get #In.

Georgia just got the number 1 player in the country. I dont think it will be us in the MNC...
