I'm still on the hype train

That's right. Dont slit your wrists yet, folks. The season is far from over.

We are not a bad team. We are very inconsistent and undisciplined; both characteristics of a very young team. We will get better as we get more practice time and reps. We improved from Duke to UNC. I expect us to continue to get better as long as our team does not give up on the season, and I dont think they have.

We are no less talented at any position group, other than WR, than we were last year. MUCH less experienced, but not less talented. We have had some bad luck with some injuries, but we still have plenty of guys capable of winning games for us.

Our defense is fine. Got tricked by a reverse pass and put in some bad spots by the offense and special teams, but they will be ok.

The offense still has guys running the wrong direction, blocking the wrong man, and whiffing on perimeter blocks. All of those things can be corrected. I think it's obvious at this point that we do not have a dominant threat at receiver this year, but all is not lost. If these guys can commit to becoming heat seeking missiles on perimeter blocks and get better route running and getting open on shorter timing routes we can still be effective passing the ball. We dont have to have homeruns every time. We just need to be able to get 8-10 yds reliably on 3rd downs. Stewart has the hands to develop into a great possession receiver once he and JT get on the same page.

Yes we have a tough schedule, but we are capable of winning every game left on our schedule. We could also lose them all if our team gives up, but again, I dont think they will. This isnt a team full of experienced juniors and seniors who just dont have what it takes like we might of had 2-3 years ago. This is a young talented team that is hungry and eager to improve.

We all had hopes that these new guys would just plug right in and we would keep on rolling like last season. Obviously that didnt happen right away and we were not ready for greatness just yet. We could still have a very successful season. 8-4 or 9-3 would still be a great accomplishment. If we did happen to win out in the ACC (tough but possible), UNC and Duke losing 3 each is not that far fetched...look at last year. Other than a playoff bid, anything could still happen. We have a lot left to play for.

We are all disappointed right now, but dont give up and start proclaiming "we suck" and expecting losses the rest of the way yet. We can still have a really fun season.

I'm with you. A few plays happen differently, and we are at 5-0 and not 2-3. These kids don't give up. We haven't been boatraced or outclassed by anyone. There is still a lot of football to play and some of the bigger fish are still out there for the taking. I'll be in Clemson next week pulling for them.

LOL. You are in denial. We are not a good team.

..or the part where the D made a huge stop and the O gave it right back on the next play from scrimmage.

We couldn't seem to hang on to any momentum in the 2nd half.

We changed to the sign system. JT doesn't have to read as much anymore because he can just check the sideline and they tell him what's up.

I can't believe it took CPJ this long to implement this.

Can a Tight End not be too far down the road...maybe...with this forward thinking of PJ's?
