Who would have thought that DRad makes more than every SEC athletic director but Foley at UF? (And more than everyone else in the ACC.) Story link Looks like the number they're using is based on his salary for the fiscal year just ended, not the $600k that his extended contract pays him for the current fiscal year. Still quite impressive, and hopefully helps us hang onto him.

GT has always paid top dollar for Athletic Directors. Dave Braine was the third highest paid athletic director in the country for a couple of years and never out of the top 5. Sad when you think about it.
 
Why would he leave? He won't be scrutinized nearly as much as the ADs in the SEC and he's making more than most of them.

but DRad's just got one bad situation in GT athletics and he hired one of the best coaches in college football so he's done pretty well for himself...and us.
