Is Beeware a Tech Fan

Tech needs more hard-nosed fanatics like Beeware. Tech fans, on average, are too forgiving and willing to accept mediocrity.

Maybe the glass IS half empty. I just don't see it that way. However, I don't find it unusual to have an attitude such as his involved in a debate.
Its not necessarily what I want to hear but it can be useful to stir folks from complacency and consider other possibilities. Perhaps Beeware missed his calling as a Baptist preacher or maybe he's just the devil's advocate.

In the past, I admit that I have lost my temper with some on this board. Beeware is not an exception. I'm a very passionate person, and Tech is one of the things I'm most passionate about.
But because I'm passionate about something, I don't fly off the handle and insult people, give the the bird graemlin, or start bashing Tech. I can deal with opinions, but the bashing should stop. UConn's board was even talking about Beeware's Braine bashing. Do we really want other schools to think this is what we are like? NO.
Beeware constantly insults Tech(yes...insulting the staff and administration IS an insult to the entire school), and constantly insults the fans here on Stingtalk. Have any of you read that sig of his? It's an everlasting insult to all of us. I don't think that this is fan behavior. I'm ashamed that Tech has fans like this.

As usual you completely miss the point.
That signature is for little anal-retentive pissants like you that think that all TECH fans have to be as silly and narrow minded as you are, and have to kiss Dave Braine's arse no matter how wrong his decisions are.
We do not have to toe your silly little line to be TECH fans....and some of us don't appreciate the tearing down of all the progress that Coach O'leary made just so that Braine can have some yes man that doesn't have a damne clue how to coach college football at this level.
The only thing I do not like is the name-calling. Being a GT fan does not mean one has to agree with and like everything GTAA does, errr...on some boards it does. I kinda like his posts...how boring would it be if everybody was alike! I agree with a lot of what he says but perhaps not the way he says it, but, jeez, it is interesting.

Umm...I'm the open minded one here. I'm giving our coach a chance to show what he can do. You're not. That's closed minded. You keep harping on the same points over and over again. That's anal retentive. And finally, you're the one who pisses everyone off. So that would make you the pissant.

CLUB AMEN I've been a Tech fan since before most of you were born. I would think that had BW been around when Dodd first started at Tech in the 40's he would have been saying fire the jerk especaill after the 41-19 drubbing by Bama don't remember when it was but seem to think it was 49.

We did not play 'bammer in Dodd's first two years of 1945 and 1946, but scores for the next several years were:

also seems to me that his claims of being a tech fan for ages and ages are as far fetched as o'leary's claims of being a football letterman.

BDG, being pissed off and venting the same thing over and over on a message board isn't being a hard-nosed fanatic IMO. Doing it with nothing but name calling isn't a hard-nosed fanatic as well IMO. Someone can't even start this thread without him calling them a name or, excuse me, using suggestion that the person is "stupid." Happens all the time.

i really believe that beeware is a large tach fan. he just does not know how to play well with others. anyway he makes some good points but he doesn't realize the age old truth. all opinions are like arseholes, they all stink unless they are your own. so everyone take beeware with a grain of salt and filter out the good and just flush the bad. in the end i believe that BUCK as beeware calls him (where did that come from anyway) leadS the jackets very well. gosh i am upset with the clemson game as i have to work with a bunch of leg humping droolin dirty dawg fans. but i think and i could be wrong that tech's defense will be better this weekend and the offense will put many points on the board.

Playing Devil's advocate, I've seen similar name calling from the other side (granted, I don't know the complete Beeware history - I haven't bought the book yet). From my point of view, he often gets attacked for having an opinion that is in the vast minority. His opinions are all directed at the coaching (not the S-As). I don't have an issue with that. The name calling isn't necessary (but, like I said, he's not the only one involved).
I've questioned Beeware a couple of times and he responded respectfully.
