Is CGC his own marketing department or is he working with

lets hope he's as good with x's and 0's as he is as a marketing manager

Yes, this is the type of stuff that will generate a lot of excitement with winning, but will get old pretty quick with losing. It's kind of like the triple option of marketing.

I'd imagine this will be more effective for next year recruits, after the offense and defense has been changed.

I've reached my philly.com limit for the month lol
Open it in an incognito window in Chrome and it won't count against your total.

NM. I saw where you already received that hint, LOL.

Thanks for the article. Based on that it sounds like it's not just a marketing ploy -- we literally won't announce starters before the game. Wonder how long before ACC coaches complain about that.

What he's saying does make sense though. I just was turned off initially by the ATL tie-in and the seeming gimmicky-ness of it -- hopefully all of this stuff is a turn-on for recruits. It's certainly the polar opposite of CPJ.

CPJ and his staff pitched the ATL to recruits. CPJ just wouldn't go all 404 and ATL in his tweets. Hell, you have to try to sell the city to recruits. You can't sell em on classes here are dope, they're just str8 up fun.
Can't wait for someone to use 404 against us if things go haywire at some point.
Collins is taking control over his own social media and using it as if it's the GT FB Recruiting twitter. Probably isn't a bad thing. If he's going to use social media as a tool, use as many hammers as you can.

I hope he's crafting a subtle jab at uga and whether they should have been in the playoffs, perhaps something like "congrats to the playoff committee for giving us the best 4 teams"

What I like is how all this positive marketing that is coming out appears to be part of a cohesive, long-thought-out plan. This is not a clueless guy walking in being handed something from the SID. This is a decade or two of, "If I were in there, this is how I would do it!"

What's with the 2 up and 2 down?

I have no idea what Mike Flynn means here but more branding and marketing I assume. Did not want to start a new thread but based on Flynn's tweet we will not have a traditional depth chart. Guess this is a form of roster management.

This is an interesting idea. I'm vaguely approving.

That said, I wonder if the SID will stop tracking starts – there are plenty of stats that incorporate starts, so it could make it difficult for the talking heads to give their usual spiels.
