Is Georgia Tech in line for 28-30M payday for FYI 2014-15

Next year I am guessing that it will be announced (VIA TAX return/David Teel Tweet) that some ACC Schools (bowl eligible) were close to 28M-30M....I am guessing 28-29M..NON Bowl schools hover around 22-23M

Ok were do I get this information from....

First the ACC made 83.5 from the CFP, and the ACC only distributes that to the 11 bowl teams...7.5M per school minus travel

Second GT budgeted 23M from the ACC, the year before they budgeted 17.9 but tax return shows 19.2M.... SO lets say that GT was smoking crack and they only get 23M you ad that plus 6 Million (1.5Million for travel) is 29M....Not to shabby for a conf without their own network.....

OK...I was told that the ACC divides bowl up to everyone... so my 7.5M goes to 5.9M before travel..I am also told that GT and FSU got travel $$...SO it would appear that 28M may be about right..just 3M behind the SEC 31.2 given out...Can't wait until the ACCN comes out...in 2017

Believe this is incorrect. Pretty sure the revenue is distributed equally among all members, regardless of if they made a bowl. The participating teams get their travel expenses reimbursed prior to the money being divided.

The ACC should only give the $$ to the bowl teams. I'm ok with evening out the bowl teams but let's reward performance
 
Ok...I was a bit zealous...GT did not get 28 to 30 Million.... They recieved 27.4M.. I was close!!

ACC SHARES FOR 2014-15

Florida State: $27.6M

Georgia Tech: $27.4M

North Carolina; $27.0M

Duke: $27.0M

N.C. State: $26.8M

Boston College: $26.8M

Virginia Tech: $26.7M

Clemson: $26.6M

Miami: $26.6M

Virginia: $25.8M

Wake Forest: $25.5M

Pittsburgh: $25.0M

Louisville: $24.0M

Syracuse: $24.0M

Notre Dame: $6.2M
 
The 14 full-time football-playing schools received an average of $26.2 million -- putting the ACC third among the Power 5 conferences. Notre Dame, a member in all sports but football, received $6.2 million. How does that compare to the other P5 conferences?

SEC $32.7 million/school
B1G $32 million/school
ACC $26.2 million/school
Pac12 $25.1 million/school
Big12 $23.3 million/school

So we budgeted for $23M and received $27.4M.

We should take the $4.4M and pay each of the 105 players $41,904.

How's that for paying the players fairly.

Would also help with recruiting.
 
Well That would not be fair, since the total is for all sports and you are forgetting about the Basketball Team... Then the rest of the athletes....
Also we just upped what we are paying the Basketball coaches.. (current and former)
 
Bowl payouts are a joke. Most schools exceed the payout when they have to travel with a bunch of administrators who think their presence is necessary.
