Do you think we would have hung 50+ points on NCst or USC least last night. Both teams looked pathetic.

Yeah we could have on State.

But I don't know if we score against USC. Those announcers kept saying SEC speed. Were done for against those three SEC schools with all that speed. Hell Jax St has a DT that transferred in from UF. So they have some SEC speed. I'm worried.

:laugher: He transferred from UF because he wasn't getting the job done, so that argument is invalid.

ESSS EEE SEEEE Speed!:eek5:

I thought that same thing all game long. Why oh why do we not have either of them on our schedule. NC State looked like a team that was still reading Football for Dummies on the bus ride to the stadium. So much for them making noise in the ACC this season. If they do, then the ACC is a lot worse then anyone thought.

I noticed that too...they loved to talk about how fast the DE's were for getting to Wilson so often. Wilson stayed in too long, and then broke late, any DE was going to catch him.

There was one play where I thought the DE wouldn't catch him and he did, but I don't think that guy was faster than any other DE's. Could you see Michael Johnson being slower than that guy? I can't.

Broadcasters that nut all over SEC 'speed' are retarded.

Wilson to me seems like a Reggie Ball clone, except he isn't as interception prone.

I don't know. I thought Wilson looked pretty damn good last night (when he didn't stay in the pocket far too long). He hit his receivers in the hands on just about every throw. I counted about 4 dropped passes late in the game where they really needed it.

I will agree though that Wilson reminds me of Ball in that he doesn't step up in the pocket. When the ends get around the pocket, he back-pedals and then peels out to the opposite side of whichever DE broke into the backfield.

Of course that's probably because both were so short. :)

The coaches have screwed Wilson up by preaching to him about not running so much and not taking hits. He looked like he was playing in slow motion last night. Of course, it doesn't help that his receivers are terrible based on their performance last night.

So true, I lost count of the amount of sacks he took when he could have thrown the ball away.

Both quarterbacks were doing that last night. If I were a South Carolina fan I would have been freaking out. Garcia was nothing short of reckless last night. Without his one nice pass at the end, I would have thought he was a true freshman out there. Wilson to me seemed like he wasn't seeing the whole field. There were a few sacks/pressures where he could have easily see the pressure building and made the right decisions. He has the right tools, just needs to put it together (i.e. get back to football speed).

Watch NC State find a pulse mid way through the season and make it to another middling bowl.

State looked super soft up the middle on D in the second q when USCe was clippin off 7 and 8 yrd runs play after play, GT might have blown up the scoreboard

I guess you have to start looking at Spurrier's staff. It's obvious the football coach doesn't give a hoo anymore and hoo could blame him. His last best job was at UF. He's just picking up the paycheck but hoo are these guys? It's like Lou Holtz is still running the show! Hoo are the coordinators? Hoo's doing the recruiting? Y do I care? Spurrier's asleep at the switch and USCe does not get it.

Agree. There were no visor throws last night. He was already thinking about the green this weekend.

So, are you saying that Spurrier coaches at UVA next?
