Is it me or are defenses not putting 8 in the box anymore?

Last year, defenses completely sold out against the run, with occassional success (UNC, LSU, etc). This year, I haven't seen any team completely selling out against the run since Miami. Is this because we've shown the ability to throw over the defense if they try too hard to stop the TO? Actually, I think Vandy sold out a few times before we hit some big ones over the top. Is it me or are we not seeing the junk defenses anymore?

I think they are also worried about the big play. If you have 8 in the box you only have to really beat one guy at the second level to take it to the house. I think this is a big reason why you're seeing less long TDs this year, less punts, and longer drives.
