MLD looked pretty good with the ball in his hands.
He did look good with the ball, but not so much blocking. There were enough WTF #37 moments that I had to look up who it was who couldn't hold their block on the outside. Guess who #37 is? I think he'll be very good for us, but not holding the block long enough turned 10+ yard gains into 3 yard gains on a few occasions.
CPJ said after Duke game that Marshall needs to get tougher. He's only a true freshman. I assumed Allen has passed him on depth chart.
I would actually like to see Allen get more carries. He has run ball well past 2 games on the few carries he has. I think he would have better vision than Skov and he's faster. He's still 220 lbs too so plenty of size there. From what I've seen, Skov's vision is lacking and he never seems to be able to make anyone miss. Our offense was at it's best last year too when we had Laskey and Days 2 headed monster.
CPJ also didn't really give Days any carries until Laskey got hurt. Days broke out and season changed for better. Maybe Allen can have that kind of impact.
Marshall has a torn emotional feelings injury.
CPJ need to put him at AB! He's quick at cutting and fast.

After not playing at all in Georgia Tech’s loss to North Carolina Saturday, B-back Marcus Marshall is expected to play against Clemson this Saturday.
“I just think we thought that, based on what we were trying to get done, that (Patrick) Skov was the best guy,” quarterbacks and B-backs coach Bryan Cook said. “Now, Skov for 79 or 80 plays is too much.”
Starter Patrick Skov played nearly the entire way, going out briefly for backup Marcus Allen. Marshall didn’t play because “there’s some things that he’s got to get better at,” Cook said.
Blocking is among them. Until it improves, it remains a challenge for coaches to put him in the game because if he is on the field for a play where his assignment is to block, he could adversely impact the play’s probability for success. But if he only plays when he is getting the ball, then Tech is telegraphing its intentions.
we have one B-back who can't block and another B-back who isn't fast and can't hit the right hole.
Pretty much.
We had two BBs last year that were awesome. They both graduated.
We also had two potential BBs that were injured preseason. One is out for the year and the other has yet to play a snap and may redshirt.
