Is PJ's explosion about the refs on Youtube?

Are you talking about during or after the game? I missed the last quarter of the game because I had to go to a damn UGA wedding where my wife was the Maid of Honor and had to wear a red dress with silver shoes. Ughhh. Wanted to throw up looking at my wife being defiled like that in public. I am still recovering. Not to mention the Groom's Cake was UGA with a football on top.

Could you fill me in since I had to undergo torture yesterday and probably missed it?

Before halftime, the ref not stopping the clock on the catch out of bounds for a first down.

PJ didn't leave the field for the rest of the half yelling at that guy. I watched the replay last night, and when Mike Hogwood asked him about it PJ nearly bit Mike's head off, yelling about the blown call. I thought Hogwood was going to run and hide. It was wild.

I did see a part of that at half time. That drive at the end of the 1st half was amazing. Josh handled it perfectly in my opinion and the receivers made some great catches. I don't blame CPJ for blowing up on the refs. Would like to see the Hogwood PJ incident you are talking about. I love the passion from CPJ.

The ref didn't stop the clock that's what happened!!!!!!!!

I was really expecting PJ to pull a Bobby Knight and throw a chair or something at the ref. I see a lot of comparisons in the two.

I get the ref making the call that forward progress was stopped before getting out of bounds. It was the wrong call, but I get it. But it was a first down. Everyone agreed. The clock is supposed to stop until the ball is reset. Everyone but the guy managing the clock knew it. The refs weren't even hurrying to reset the ball, because the KNEW the clock wasn't supposed to be running.

The worst part is that this wasn't even the worst call of the game. Setting the ball on the 46 instead of the 48 was a complete screw up. Then having to use the replay to move the ball 2 yards. Two freaking YARDS? I am 2 freaking yards tall. Who the hell miss places the ball the height of a full grown man (who, isn't 40, btw)? I've never seen a replay move the ball that much. Not to mention the crew then tried to move the ball 6 yards to the wrong 48. That entire crew should have to take two weeks off.

Horrible, just horrible job by that crew.

As someone said the 2 Ga State Troopers with Paul Johnson were there to protect the Ref at half-time.

I saw contradictions in the refs call...

if indeed the receivers progress was stopped a yard in bounds...
then what was all the extracuricular activity after the whistle that caused the player to finally be tackled about 2-3 yards out of bounds...
If the play was dead then the UNC tackler was playing after the whistle and should have been called for a personal foul.

either way the Jackets got ripped off...

This is only the start of the ref's "contradictions." When Nesbitt was stopped and being pushed back by 5+ tarheels, apparently the refs wanted to be real damn sure forward progress was stopped. But they were sure as hell, apparently, that Bebe was stopped after being bumped by a UNC player. It even superceded the rule on the clock stopping on 1st downs, they were so damn sure.

Was it a new crew? I didn't recognize any of them.

I've kept the list from games where it appeared an agenda was working instead of officials. Notice any similarities?

I see what you're getting at here, but I disagree. I have seen CPJ get angry many many times at players, officials, and media, but I have never, ever seen CPJ let his emotions get the best of him like Bobby Knight. His frustration is controlled and has an objective, and that objective is not getting himself thrown out of the game.

Bummer dude. I hope you ate some of that cake. You'd be doing us all a favor and converting it into what it really was. ;)

Even if he was inbounds the clock should have stopped for the chains. Would take a total idiot to miss that.

Still not as bad as 5 downs (I was only 5 years old then, but I have caught up on my history since joining GT) :ugh:

I can't recall hearing louder or longer boos at a game than I did on Saturday at the end of the first half. I honestly thought CPJ was going to get ejected.

The best though was after the offsetting unsportsmanlike penalties in the 2nd half (involving Cord Howard). CPJ was so pissed at Cord that when Cord came to the sidelines, CPJ ran over (while yelling of course) and threw himself into Cord's chest.

I love this guy. Win or lose, he has fire....unlike CCG.
