Is there any chance whatsoever we use Roddy Jones?

I haven't even seen Roddy Jones on the sidelines so I think it would be a bit much to throw him in the middle of a key game now.

I sure as hell hope not. It would reckless be to burn his redshirt for a single game where he would be in there as a backup.

  • Roddy is not better than Jon Dwyer. That's why one has played the entire year and the other is sitting on the sidelines. Even if you don't trust our coaches evaluation of talent look at every recruiting service
  • Unless JD & Evans get hurt, I don't see how Roddy plays.

again...Dwyer and Roddy bring different things to the table. They are different backs. Dwyer got the nod early as he was physically larger and stronger...and we were already using two backs that could also get in the slot if necessary in Grant and Evans. Dwyer is more of a compliment to Tashard from a physical standpoint.

Make no mistake...they are both great TB's and we will enjoy seeing them play together for the next three years.

This was my understanding as well...Roddy was more similar to TC, so there was no point in burning his RS. I thought I heard great things about him from practice reports though. Dwyer though brought something different to the table than TC in regards to his breakaway speed and his ability to get to the outside.
