Is that supposed to be an engineer joke?Quit confusing millimeters with inches.
But old fat guys sitting on their couches say different.I’m confident is Sims was choosing not to play that Key would walk his ass to the door. There is no validity to that statement. He’s hurt.
I perfer to believe this, he will start if he is healthy.I’m confident is Sims was choosing not to play that Key would walk his ass to the door. There is no validity to that statement. He’s hurt.
Goddamn RIGHTI put nine inches on three of your mom’s holes.
Yes, he’s limping and isn’t 100%. He’s only about 87-89%.I’m confident is Sims was choosing not to play that Key would walk his ass to the door. There is no validity to that statement. He’s hurt.
Yea, it became obvious quickly their DC knew what our presnap defensive adjustments were. Don't know if we are running something so simple that all you have to do is watch Charlie Thomas and the safeties or what. Every presnap shift by our defense was met with an audible "kill kill". If we were a team like UGAg or Bama, that doesn't matter, they just outman the other team. Those teams can just play man coverage and be fine because they control the LOS.Alright, so I went back and watched the game this morning (my Geoff Collins tradition to waste less time continues):
1. Our DL got manhandled all day. White was the only guy consistently able to do anything, but even he didn't have a great game.
2. Our DBs were so worried about coming up in the run game that they busted some coverages on the backend, especially if the play appeared to be rolling to their side.
3. Credit due: FSU RBs ran behind their pads, on fire, and greased up.
4. Credit due: Norvell scouted us and seemed to know what was coming on nearly every defensive play. It wasn't just bad luck that they were running exactly the right plays to counter any pressures and were picking up mismatches when we dropped linemen into coverage.
5. öööö Chip Long: call run plays where our OL fires out. We actually run the ball respectably when we do that, even today, but I think I counted 5 or so times we didn't run outside zone. Nearly every outside zone play failed.
6. öööö Chip Long: slide protection leaving a TE on the SDE. We aren't ND, our TEs cannot do this. We don't have to give up 3 sacks to this protection scheme every week to figure out we can't do it. Our TEs get beat and the other linemen are reaching for defenders that shoot the new gaps when we do this. In every conceivable way, we cannot execute this. If we call this protection, the ball needs to be out in less than 2 seconds so you better only do this to get hands down on a slant-go combo.
7. Our OL has talent deficiency issues. We replaced a lot of experience with guys who either couldn't beat them out or weren't playing for their previous school either. I said it before the season and a lot of you chumps told me I was wrong and this line would be better. öööö you. This was a 5 alarm fire that was predictable from Day 1 of the offseason last year.
8. Pyron... better than Gibson, not sure I'm super impressed, but would like to see more.
9. Wtf WRs, piss poor blocking when we did break runs to the second level, poor routes, non-factors after the catch. Yeah maybe one or two good plays from each of them the entire game, look at the body of work. Ffs. It was like watching 2019 season all over again with this group.
lol so what? Tennessee vs Pitt is irrelevant, he still played poorly. Did you not watch the game? He should have had about 5 turnovers. He got extremely lucky.Pitt took Tennessee to OT and should have beaten them. Sims beat Pitt.
*Should* have had about 5 turnovers?lol so what? Tennessee vs Pitt is irrelevant, he still played poorly. Did you not watch the game? He should have had about 5 turnovers. He got extremely lucky.
Yes, should have. He threw the ball right to Pitt players, and they dropped them. Just like we should have had 3 more takeaways from FSU yesterday, but guys didn't catch the ball.*Should* have had about 5 turnovers?
Lucky or not, he was our starter and won the game.

Now stop being a douchebag to one of our players.
Who is Joe Burrow?Yea, it became obvious quickly their DC knew what our presnap defensive adjustments were. Don't know if we are running something so simple that all you have to do is watch Charlie Thomas and the safeties or what. Every presnap shift by our defense was met with an audible "kill kill". I liked Pyron's okay, but I really wish Tech fans wouldn't do this pathetic going overboard thing we love to do. Sims beat FSU in his first outing as a freshman. By that standard, you should all still love him. We don't know what Pyron's next outing will resemble. Just chill a bit folks. He hasn't shown he's the next Joe Burrow.
Our OL is just horrible. I have no doubt Sims or Pyron would look like a much better QB behind a serviceable OL.
Meanwhile, their OL looked all world against us. Our defense looked fair in the first half. Awful in the second half. Refs were terrible. The roughing the passer call was a touch file, correct, but pathetic. It was 3rd and 20. Know your down.
Don't punt that damn punt that netted us 15. That was nearly as bad as running out of bounds against UVA. If we don't make it, so what? It isn't like it flips the field. We may have gotten a PI or roughing or any other call.
The blocking below the waist call against our TE is exactly why the triple option has had the rule book push it to obsolescence. He literally started on the line, slid sideways a few steps, and blocked the DT head on with a nice cut. That is now illegal because, apparently, you can't cut AT ALL if you started the play outside the tackle box. May as well be flag football. The rule does nothing but help the elite power 5 schools that get elite DT and LB talent. No more levelling the field with cut blocks
He had an erect stinger because of the FSU dance teamNew week and not football related but FSU cheerleader/dance team game is top notch from what I saw on the TV.
Saw something last night on FB about Buzz being asked to leave the sidelines due to inappropriate dancing? Anyone have more info?
