Is this the best we can expect from Gailey?

2-2, 0-2 in conference in a year we were supposed to contend for the ACC Champ Game. The ACC is the weakest conference and we can't take advantage of it. I knew that Gailey and Co. would make us feel early on to totally regret last year's blown opportunity as winning a conference title doesn't happen all too often. If we can't do it this year with this coaching staff and this weak conference, we aren't ever going to do it. Something has to change eventually.

Running teams have to be mistake free. This game was lost by costly mistakes at the wrong time on the road by inexperiencd players.

Well who put in that DE at the TE position? How about playing one of our backup OG? How about undersized Matt Rhodes and replace him with a guard for that one play. This call was stupid.

Not kicking the field goal on the next play was dumber.

BUT, I do remind myself that we are still on probation and lots of BIG programs have done a whole lot worse than we have during their restrictions. We still need to have more depth and that won't come hear until three or four more years.

Are you kidding me? Please tell me this is Tongue in Cheek.

I don't think probation really hurts us that much. Flunkgate hurt is, our current probation probably doesn't nearly as much.

I think not recruiting a decent QB for 5 years is what hurt us...

We need to get more quality QBs through recruiting and better QB coaching like we had under Fridge.

Good grief mid, this is not a young team at all and there is more depth than usual, not enuf, but dang we can't forever sing the mantra of wait 4 or 5 more years!

we will never beat uga or win any championship with this head coach......................................................

Given all the facts in front of you, you've boiled it all down to this one statement....this leaves no doubt as to your complete idiocy.

Probation will hurt us next year. Especially since we have so many seniors this year.

This numbers of seniors stuff is for the birds. Our OL was ranked highly because we had a bunch of seniors. If you aren't good it doesn't matter what year you're in, you're not good.

Yes. We see this all over the field. We have kids playing out of position <cough> Pat Clark <cough>, <cough> Wheeler at LB instead of SS, <cough> DL lines smaller then most LBs <cough> ... Our recruiting is poor, we have no depth anywhere on the field (tailback maybe ?), and the coaching staff never plans for anything ... I mean who didn't know our secondary was going to be awful, we didn't lose any early entries (right ?) ? I mean if they simply put our roster on a whiteboard, with all the positions up and listed the 'talent' and the players year you could see this coming a mile away. I can maybe see QB not coming through because its a tough position to recruit for period, and made even worse by our reputation on offense, but having to play a QB, turned Wide Out, turned Bench warmer as your starting CB is dreadful.

If you fail to plan, you better plan to fail.

Pat Clark was never a QB - you must be thinking of Patrick Carter.

Pat Clark played WR, RB, and Corner in high school.

nedleeds, either know what your talking about, or shut the f*** up please. We have enough bozos on this board to contend with. Your dislike of Chan is well received here. Probably the less you say about the less you know the better.

It would appear that this is the best we can expect from CCG. Three years of finishing 4-4 in conference were followed by 5-3 (including a big win @Miami) and last year's 7-1 --which ended on a whimper against Wake. Yes, last year was a blown opportunity to win a conference title and reach a BCS bowl --and no it doesn't happen very often ...after just two conference games doesn't look like it will happen this year.

The conference is again weak --weaker than last year. My expectations had us going back to the ACCCG --winning 9-10 --defeating UGA and making it to a BCS bowl. Lofty --sure. But what are my expectations supposed to be coming off of last season, to fall back and finish in the middle of the pack?

I don't know what to expect this Saturday against Clemson. Given the last few years of inconsistency I would not be surprised if GT defeated a #13 ranked team the week after losing to a less-than-stellar one. That's what I've come to expect in the last few years.

There's an ignore list. But my point stands un-****ING refuted.
