Is this Tropical Storm going cancel our game @ Wake?

A tenth to a quarter of an inch expected? Do Wake moms think I'm gonna be at the game or something?

Looks like light rain showers expected to start a little after midnight in Winston-Salem and continue until about 8AM. Scattered showers the rest of the day that decrease until kickoff. Will probably still be misty, light showers, etc. at kickoff and most likely just a wet, nasty game.

If Wake Forest were still in Wake Forest, there may be a problem, but Winston-Salem looks like it may just make it out unscathed.

Which brings up the question when Wake Forest moved its campus to Winston-Salem why didn’t they change the name of the college to Winston Salem. The advertising money they could have got from the cigarette company could have built a few buildings.

Could have even changed the name to the Winston Salem Fags

If I recall correctly, RJ Reynolds Tobacco paid for the move without asking for a name change, and continued to support the school until around the 80s. Wake was financially supported by the Baptists and the Tobacco industry at the same time.

I expect a bit of thunder to be heard within the 100 mile lightening free zone and 4 to 5 hours of delay in the name of safety. The broadcast will be bumped several times and the game will finish about 10pm with zero coverage.

On the bright side, I hear they've got the chains on the measuring sticks unkinked and will be fully operational.

You need to look up what the kick off time is.

Thanks for the information. I’m sure there are other colleges that moved and kept their name of the place they no longer occupy. Off the top of my head I can’t think of any.
