Just out of curiosity... why do you think that the CFB landscape is harder for Tech now than it was in 1950?

because the NFL is an actual goal to get rich for the best athletes. College football isn't the "means to an end" it used to be. It is for some but not the best. GT was truly a great place to come to play college ball in the 50s

In addition nearly all of our neighboring programs are excelling right now. And the ACC has more than their fair share of coaches who are excellent.

It is a difficult time to be successful at GT. It wasn’t during Johnson’s first few years here and we failed to capitalize on it to the fullest extent possible.
