It could be worse...

FSU is 1-6 with games remaining against Miami, UNC, Notre Dame, Charleston Southern and Florida. They will be lucky to finish no worse than 3-9. A 10 loss season is very possible.

Mike Norvell Florida State contract
Length: 10 years
Total value: more than $84 million before incentives
Annual Average Value (AAV): $10,000,000 in 2024

Buyout Cost: $65 million. Norvell would be paid $65 million not to coach the Seminoles or 85% of his base salary and supplemental pay for the remainder of the contract, which expires on Dec. 31, 2031

Not to mention the millions they had to pay Willie Taggart to not coach which just ended this year or the legal mess ongoing with the ACC and Disney/ESPN undoubtedly costing millions in legal fees and the uncertainty of how that will play out.

FSU is in a dicey spot. Glad we're not them.

Or, they could embrace an Oil State (ala Premier League) and have that unlimited influx of cash. Get Batt on the line to go after some of that sweet Middle East $$$.
US businesses and business men own far more teams in the Premier League than any "oil states" and there are rules that govern how much cash can be invested, certainly not "unlimited"

Teams owned by American interests: Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Manchester United, Everton, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace.

Teams owned by ME "oil states": Manchester City and Newcastle.
