It is good to see that the resume has dried out

A counterpoint on NC State being weak and their record a result of a soft schedule.

They are the only team in America that had a .500 record against FSU in the past 4 years. FSU IS a pretty decent National football power.

They are the only ACC team that has beaten FSU at Doak Campbell.

We were playing them at their house, and #8/#10 ranking did take into account their weaker schedule. Look at Bowling Green. Same account taken.

Mayber they were not the most rock-solid, NFL'esque team that we could ever play, but to downgrade what the team and CCG did this past weekend is pretty weak, IMO.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I've never understood why people but so much emphases on a previous record. A GT victory at NC State in 1996 has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO with this team this season. Why even bring it up? If the team follows Beeware's logic, why even get out of bed this weekend?

Beeware, you usually bring up good points (with very little tact, but good points nonetheless), but why show up on this board 3 days after the fact and try to feed us this "blah blah blah I told ya so, I knew we were gonna win....." BS? Thats pretty clueless on your part.

Go Jackets!

Beeware, when you say

It is time to end these ridiculous lowered expectations. This team is good enough to win out....
<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">I read it as in your opinion the your new expectations are that the team should win out. Vegas would probably give you 20 to 1 odds against that.

I have a lot of respect for most posters but when you say you drank a mixture containing two parts hydrogen to one part oxygen and I paraphrase to say you drank water it is not putting words in your mouth.

This is what YOU expect...

We need to stomp a mudhole in the FSU crimiNOLES. No excuses. No lowered expectations. A mudhole....period
<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Now the betting public in their collective infinite retardedness has decided that GT is a touchdown underdog. Those retarded college coaches have voted FSU in the top 20 while not one thinks GT is a top 25 team.

In my mind there is a valid reason that FSU is favored. A large percentage of their players will be playing on Sunday. Despite your love of all things O'Leary, GT will put far fewer NFL players on the field on Saturday. That is my opinion.

I do not follow your logic goldbuzz.

Yes our players are good, but a lot of people think FSU's players are even more talented.

So for our team to win we have to outplay a more talented team or outcoach a legendary coach.

Either one would be nice but you guys have mighty high standards to EXPECT a win.

What one can conceive, one can achieve.

Our players are studs.

Maybe if you run a comparison, player by player, with FSU, one might discover that their players may have a higher composite recruiting ranking out of high school. So what - those so-called experts have been wrong as many times as they have they been right. Why insult our players by declaring that they are deficient?

Our players can and ought to beat any college team if coached properly.

If you do not believe me, just ask them.

As for their legendary coach - I'm not giving any credence to that Bible thumping cheating hypocrit.

Yeah, I expect the Georgia Tech football team to beat FSU, so do the players, and so should you.

Yes I expect Tech to win but I am realistic and know that we have many players as good and some that are better than the crimenoles I just not sure we have the depth they do that is just my opinion.

Belly, you did good in pointing out the inconsistency in BW's logic, who, by the way, has not responded.

I agree with BEWARE. We have talented athletes.

I find it an insult to our athletes when posters begin to lower expectations by claiming our players are deficient. Our players are studs.

They just need proper coaching. And when they get it, they win.

The coaches remind the players that there are others ready to play if they can't get the job done.

Well, I don't see any problem in reminding the coaches that there are other coaches available if they can't get the job done. The coaches don't need to be babied.

We have group of studs out there playing football for us - I just hope the coaches can be as good as our players the rest of the season.
