IT IS SETTLED!- Old Gold is Back

Jay, Bell's pants are very close to the 1966 version I prefer. Can anyone post a '66 pic?

Check out this blog. http://www.playatgatech.com/blog/blog.php In practice pics you see the difference in the gold clearly in the Uzzi pic. This years gold on the helmet next to last years gold on the pants. If you scroll down further there is also a kid wearing the blue jersey with the gold. Its obvious the golds are different then what the players are wearing. These pics are not taken with a cheap digital either.

The gold on the practice pants is sharp. We got away from that and went to Tan. This is not an improvement.

I went to the fan day and yes, the uniforms they were wearing were DEFINITELY old gold, not mustard gold.

And if you don't believe me, here's the link to a bbuzzoff.com forum with a picture of Daniel Drummond (dude is massive...)

Picture is in the middle of the forum, so scroll down.

Just trying to quell the uproar here, no more mustard gold, old gold is back in the uniforms! :biggthumpup:

I like that much better.

I still say the color we wore last year was Golden Poppy.

just look at the color of buzz on most images, that my friends is the color we should be wearing, which IS old gold. Go Jackets!

Here's an idea that should keep everyone thoroughly annoyed until September 5: Everyone go on Paintbrush (or the comparable Mac program) and create an image (using colors>edit colors>define custom colors) of what they think the right color of gold is. Then, one of you who knows how could create the "average" of these colors, which will be dubbed "stingtalk gold." I have actually played around with this and it's really hard to find a satisfying gold on the spectrum.

Any takers?

I like traditional Old Gold:

HSL = 33,146,125
RGB = 207, 181, 59
