It's Got to Be Reggie's Fault

Is anyone else sick and tired of the heat in the East Stands?! In Section 222, it is unbearable. I've sent a PM to Gailey, but I doubt he will even respond. I watch Ball on almost every play and I never (NEVER) see any concern in his face for us season ticket holders in the East Stand. Granted, it may be a sun thing, but somehow we all KNOW it's RB's fault.

I just feel like giving up.

Anybody going to the game Thursday?

It was always cooler back in the Hamilton / Godsey. I just don't understand why we can't make it cooler on gamedays.

Bilbo made it cooler too or at least he gave Stateline goosebumps.

Well, I can tell you how to keep cool in the Upper East. As I tell people, there is nothing as good as a cold beer while watching a Tech game in the upper East stands. After 25+ years of doing it, it is the only way to keep cool. And it is Reggies fault when I have beer only midway thru the 2nd QT.

I sent an email to Braine about Tech's refusal to air coniditon Bobby Dodd stadium. He told me I would just have to except mediocrity. Maybe now that DanRad is here we can do something about this weather, like move Georgia Tech to Idaho.

I would imagine Braine's response was something to the effect of "With our academic requirements, we can only expect the temperature to be OK a max of 7 or 8 times a year..."

Well V, I'm over in 224 and I'll be looking for some of that cold beer from now on. ;)

All you people in the upper east do is complain. You only get the sun in your face, where you can use sun block or a hat to protect yourself from in. But those of us in the upper west have to suffer through it hitting on the back of our necks. And that is solely and completely the fault of GO'L who refused to consider redesigning BDS@HGF so that all the seats were on the the north and south sides. It has taken the current head coach 4.5 years to try and overcome that problem, for which he has no blame whatsoever, and he will need at least 5 more before he can get us to the point that we want to be at. Meanwhile, I guess, we are expected to sit there and suffer in silence. But if a change isn't made this year, myself, and many other upper-westers will refuse to purchase tickets ever again and will become avid Troy University fans (you won't see them playing crummy teams like Samford or South Carolina State).

The real problem is that the Sun hires all its employees from the UGA Agricultural Engineering department, instead of the Tech physics dept. I wrote the Sun a letter to complain, but it didn't respond. I blame the AJC.

The sun's no better in the lower East.:ugh:

Yes, we will be there Thursday evening...no sun!:laugher:

I have relayed everyone's concerns to Reggie and Chan. They discussed it, worked something out, and then told me to let everyone know that the sun will be less intense Thursday. They must have something up their sleeve.

We'll have air conditioning after we get that $1M GOL owes us.

There is a high possibility of darkness this coming Thursday night according to sources at UgaG...not completely 100% but close.

What in the hell is this thread about?? Is it sarcasm gone bad??
:wtf:

I am tired of all the Chan Apologists who can't take off their gold-colored sweaters and recognized the heat problem we have.

Chan insists on playing Reggie even though he clearly makes it at least 10 degrees hotter than it would be if Garner were playing. In fact, I have heard that Reggie shovels hot coals into a furnace underneath the west stands during timeouts. Garner tried to stop him then Chan demoted him to 4th string. It's a conspiracy I tell ya!!

And you can tell by the pictures in the paper that Reggie's not concerned either. I saw one from last weekend that showed him smiling while people were suffering in the stands.

All you people are crazy!! It's not the heat; it's the humidity! Tech should build 4 large dehumidifiers and place one in each corner of the field. The water created could then be used to power the stadium thus saving energy costs and allowing CG to pay his athletes the money the elite's deserve. I don't hear anyone at USC complaining of the heat!!
