Its on..

Hmm, after watching that game I'd say the Cardinals really do have a chance, especially since the game required them to have a 4th quarter drive to regain the lead.
Disclaimer: I am not a Cardinals fan, so don't yell at me about all the important tid bits as to why they have no shot, cause I can't answer back. Honestly I simply picked them to root for and am curious to see who thinks they can win.

LOL at anyone who thought the Ravens would win

Hines will have another Super Bowl ring to go with his other one... and then he will laugh as he crunches a DB and sends him to the sideline

LOL at you sidestepping Hines Ward being stupid.

why do i have to defend Hines Ward? and he is not stupid. he has done more for people in his life already than you will ever do

it is easy to be critical of others. what have you accomplished to give you the pulpit to talk down to anyone, you're just some retarded internet poster with a history of stupid posts

one stupid comment by Hines doesnt come close to matching the online proof of your idiocy, not by a long shot

try again, you lose

Hines Ward can get hit by a bus. Once a dog, always a dog.

lucky for him, The Bus is one of his good pals. they even won a Super Bowl together (see below)

and he was never a dog. maybe a dawg for 4 years, but now a Steeler for much longer wearing gold and white and learning from Whisenhunt and Gailey

Say anything you want but please stop it with the gold and white. Look at William Bell on your signature, that's gold and white. The Steelers are Yellow and Black.

Lets see:

The Steelers liked the idea presented by Republic Steel, despite the fact that the company was located in the city of their bitterest rival, the Cleveland Browns, and proudly sported the new logo on their helmets for the 1962 season.

After qualifying that year for their first-ever postseason game, they changed the color of their helmets from gold to solid black, which also served to highlight the new logo they felt had brought them good luck.

The new Steelmark logo was originally only applied to one side of the helmet (the right side) by equipment manager Jack Hart because the Steelers were uncertain how it would look on their solid gold helmets. Even when they later switched their helmet color to solid black, they decided to permanently retain the logo on just the one side due to the team's new success and the interest generated by the logo's uniqueness. The Steelers are now the only team in the NFL to sport its logo on only one side of the helmet.

One last change occurred to the logo in 1963 when the Steelers petitioned the AISI to allow them to change the word 'Steel' inside the Steelmark to 'Steelers.' The Steelers later added the gold stripe and player numbers and changed the face masks from grey to black, but otherwise the helmet has remained virtually unchanged since 1963.
The interest generated by having the logo on only one side of their helmets along with the team’s new success (they were 9-5 after many years of losing seasons), the Steelers decided to leave the helmet that way permanently. The Steelers logo hasn't changed since, fitting for a football team that values consistency and tradition.

and from Wikipedia:

Colors
The Steelers have used black and gold as their colors since the club's inception, the lone exception being the 1943 season when they merged with the Philadelphia Eagles and formed the "Steagles"; the team's colors at that time were green and white as a result of wearing Eagles uniforms. Originally, the team wore solid gold-colored helmets and black jerseys. Unique to Pittsburgh, the Steelers' black and gold colors are now shared by all major professional teams in the city, including the Pittsburgh Pirates in baseball and the Pittsburgh Penguins in hockey. These also are the colors of the city's official flag.

face it, you are plain WRONG. and William Bell is wearing OLD GOLD and WHITE so get it straight before you argue.

you said no whining! dont break your own rule

So, your favorite player is a former Dawg and half of the Steelers' team colors is the same as those red and black primates in Athens.

if you ask people what colors GT are, they will tell you gold and black. go ask and see

and Hines is not my favorite player, although i think he is a great player and a great guy to have on your team

so you dont like the Falcons b/c they wear red and black? you also dont like red ferraris b/c of some idiots to the NE?

dont play blackjack, thats half Georgie colors.

why would you let them dictate to you what it is you can enjoy?

I just wanted to make sure I was getting everything correctly. As for the Falcons, I could care less about them, and most of the college retirement league. I think their colors were picked to be red and black simply to pander to the lowest common denominator in the state, which is Bulldawg fans. Although I will be rooting for the Cardinals during the Superbowl, because of Ken Whisenhunt.

PS. Hines Ward is a son of a bitch.

and i will be rooting for the Steelers and Keyaron Fox, although i am happy for Whisenhunt to have taken the Cards this far...

he came from the Steelers btw, and also, Hines is a badass and if you spoke about his momma to his face like that he would probably ensure that you eat from a straw for the rest of your life.

Didn't that saying go out of fashion once the denture industry picked up?

I am Hines Ward, and I approve this message.

Colors change my friend. I'm sorry but the Steelers are yellow and black. :laugher: See the yellow emoticon? Tell me that isn't the same color as the Steelers uniform.

By the way, look at the B on the Ravens player's pants and you will see Gold.

Personally, I have come to the conclusion that the Yellow Jackets should just go yellow too. I'm sick of the old gold and all the effort to match the same. The Steelers learned that yellow stands out better, we should learn from them. And personally, since we've changed from The Ramblin Wreck to The Yellow Jackets, we should change our colors to match.

We should go to yellow and black instead of old mustard OR go back to regular available gold.

Congrats again on your victory. I was just informing you that your colors are not what you think they are.

This is the single most offensive thing I have ever read on this board. If I was a mod, I would ban you for life. Maybe you'd like to go punch my grandmother or urinate on the American flag. People like you are the reason that we're not winning the war on terror. Any and all arguments you have made or will ever make on this board will now be functionally replaced by the sounds of puppies playing, which is the only way to correct this egregious affront to all that is good and pure.

thanks for the congratulations. congrats to the Ravens for hanging so tough and making a game of it despite serious injury deficiencies as well as a rookie qb. the rivalry is great and while it does not really breed affinity, it does breed respect for the opponent!

and by the way as far as the colors go "they are what we thought they were, they're what we thought they were. Now if you wanna crown them yellow and gold, then crown their ass! But they are who we thought they were, and we let 'em off the hook! Because we knew they were gold and black"

doesnt really matter what the LOOK like, its what they are stated to be. back in 1933, when the steelers started (as the pirates) they didnt have "gold" material in uniforms. hell, they didnt even have facemasks, so yellow is as gold as it got.

lastly, prove that the emoticon is yellow, and not gold
