With the play of LSU in recent weeks, they have knocked uGag out of the top spot as "The luckiest team in the history of college football."

The accolades thrust upon the member SEC schools are just dumbfounding yet rewarding. Word coming out of Baton Rouge is that they were honored to have overtaken such a lucky bunch as the Bulldogs.

LSU has long been the luckiest team in the history of college football. I watched them my whole life growing up. It's no coincidence that they were the first 2 loss team to go to a BCS national championship. I hated their luck so bad that I used to call them either: Lucky State University or Last Second University. That was what defined LSU before they were brought into the national spotlight under Saban.

LSU has had tons of luck over the years but I don't think anyone has as much as the Irish.

No pun intended.:fingersx:

My bro in-law down there refers to them as Lucky Suckers U :laugher:

that can luck out against uga every week as far as i'm concerned.

and they surely didn't luck out against us.

Oddly enough in the last few years Arkansas of all people has pulled some lucky stuff on them.

All I know is that every time I turned to the UGA game, the red/black scored. On Saturday, I turned to the game and the pass was in the air to Green, TD UGA. I swore that I'd never watch a UGA game again, but dang if the other lucky team got even luckier.

If you are consistently lucky, then that means you're good. There's a reason that teams like VT or LSU consistently win.

this year, Notre Dame is again the luckiest team so far.

the could be O-for, but instead have benefitted from last minutes heroics of Claussen and the last-minute mistakes of some of their opponents

Luck of the Irish is a curse for college football. I hope it dies with Lou "the Prethadent" Holthzz

You mean a blessing for college football. Notre Dame being good is a great thing for college football. Everyone loves or loves to hate Notre Dame. Just look at how often they get mentioned around here.

Like it or not a good Notre Dame team is great for the national landscape. So many up in the North East region have no team to root for and most pull for the catholic team Notre Dame.
If they are good our beloved sport has even more exposure. I wished we still played them!

I have proof its ND:

Please, Notre Dame, explain yourself. Explain how your last three victories have been decided by seven or fewer points. Explain how you're doing this without your best receiver, maybe your best player (receiver Michael Floyd). Explain why the nation's No. 96 defense keeps coming up with big plays.

While you're at it, explain why, with Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford on the shelf, Jimmy Clausen shouldn't be leading the Heisman Trophy race.
