Jacory Harris is gonna win a Heisman one day

No, I didn't SEE the game, so maybe my statement was dumb. The DL has been my main concern on D this year, but I am only basing that on the losses at that position. Just seems that our pressure won't be as tough as last season, but anyone that saw the game please elaborate.

I thought the pressure on Morgan's side of the ball was very good against JSU, (but again it was JSU), but it seemed like he was unstoppable and right there in the backfield on every pass play. But as I said the ball was out of the JSU QB's hands so quickly that Morgan didn't get a lot of credit for being in there. I believe he still had one big pass deflection and 2 sacks? At least I remember him getting at least one. The other side of the ball I don't remember a ton of pressure, but just having Morgan on the other side should open things up for Hall to get in there.

I think it's a step down from last year definitely, but it seems like it is only a small step down, and by the end of the year I could see it as another strength. Just my opinion of what I saw, some others may disagree with me. I know I spent a lot of time watching our coverage when our D was out there rather than a lot of time watching our line.

This was not a good game. People are just used to seeing those two teams have good defenses. Both of those D's were worse than UGA's defense last year. Other than Miami holding FSU's power running in check, there was no defense played yesterday. Unfortunately for FSU, Jacory can hit an open receiver on a deep ball. FSU looked like an overmatched high school team. Since they also have a very weak OL, FSU is going to get smoked by us. That'll be a 45-20 type game.

Let's think about da 'u for awhile. We are about the best team in the conference to defend the deep ball. Morgan Burnett is the best safety in the conference and we have a tall secondary in Butler, Tarrant and Taylor. Cooper is quick enough to adjust to the open man. The problem is we won't get enough pressure out of the D-Line. Other than Derrick Morgan, the talent is below average. TJ Barnes has to start and I'm thinking that Izann Cross will also be starting by midseason.

Whipple is a huge improvement over Nix. The playcalling was excellent for Miami. I still think that Jacory makes some poor decisions and throws at times...Cooper runs very well...but overall a better offensive product than last year. The defense has always had the talent...just a matter of whether or not that play up to their level on any given night.

totally agree. he created some excellent matchups and tried to hide Jacory's flaws with good playcalling.

Whipple is a major upgrade

I'm going to reserve judgment until next Thursday night; remember, Nix's offense put up 39 points on a better F$U defense last year.
