I think you know this, but he can't. The 5-year clock doesn't stop once it starts.

It would make a lot of sense for Skole though.

I remember being in middle school and so excited when Quincy Carter committed to GT, then he went and played baseball. Of course what was worse was when baseball didn't work out, he went to Georgie instead...

Yeah, that one hurt...bad.

But we got the last laugh. He was 0-2 against GT and would have been 0-3 if he hadn't got suspended for the remainder of the season for snorting coke off a stripper's butt...or something to that effect. Only heard parts of the story. May have been distributing on the side, as well.

He hasn't played football professionally and never enrolled so his clock hasn't started and amateur status is safe! Don't think he could play baseball though

Late, but you guys are right. What I was thinking of is that they can't accept any endorsements or sponsorships, even for other sports, which makes more sense.
