James Graham IS ELIGIBLE!

This is why I expect him to win the job, and I expect him to be good, I hope he was switched to 14 on purpose and I hope he keeps it and honors it with his play
It was switched to 14 because that was how many credits he needed to get eligible. It was a reminder/goal. He wants 4, 2 actually.

If the Clemson game gets away from us, I'd like to see Patanaude use the second half to get as many guys on the field as possible. It would be an opportunity to experiment in a game situation before settling in with a regular group of starters against USF and Temple. Sometimes it's hard to know how a player will perform in an actual game, and we've got limited experience at QB and a whole new scheme. The "above the line" concept is appropriate when you aren't sure how players are going to fit a scheme in an actual game, or even how effective the run/pass play selections will be.

The only problem is that Clemson is good - if we go easy in the second half they might get back to within a TD or two.

Graham had a rough first semester, which left him needing to make up 14 credits to regain his eligibility. (The total is why coach Geoff Collins took away his No. 4 jersey and reassigned him No. 14, Graham’s mother Bridget Daniels said.)

Graham was discouraged and contemplated transferring.

“I told him, ‘You can’t just give up,’” Daniels said. “I said, ‘What you can do is buckle down because anything worth having isn’t going to be easy to come by. For you to be given another chance, obviously they see something in you as well.’”

Mom of the Year.

I can't help wondering, in spite of the current emphasis on single digits, why he wouldn't want to wear JoeHam's #14?

This öööö is dumb. Clearly there are starters, Collins just doesn’t want to release a depth chart which is fine. Just say that instead of this dumbassness.

The way he's closing with recruits, Collins can call it WETF he wants.

Kudos to Graham. Look forward to seeing him on the field!

JoeHam was before his time. Maybe if Joe's Heisman hadn't been stolen he would realize.

James Graham has never heard of Joe Hamilton.
Doubt that. But he's his own man and wants his own #. I can understand why he wants a different # - 14 was an albatross # - he paid his dues and wants to leave it behind.

If half the stuff his high school coach said about him is true, he can wear 00 for all I care. I'm kind of partial to double-zero anyway.

Someone needs to educate him on #14. It is the number to have as a QB at GT, imo.

Then he needs to educate himself. I believe we were the top scoring team in the ACC and close to being the top scoring team in CFB with Hamilton as starter.

Glad he decided to work hard and not leave. He can have the best of both worlds at GT.

I would imagine he has probably become familiar with and maybe met JoeHam now that Joe is hanging around the program again.
