Jaybo and hiding the ball

For straight up QB controversies, we've had plenty. Suggs vs Bilbo stands out.
There was one in 1997 too. Not everyone saw a future in Joe Hamilton as I recall.

As a rule, fans suck at choosing starting quarterbacks.

in a way the fact that Jaybo cannot really make a freak athletic play like Nesbitt leads us to be more disciplined in running the system. it looked pretty sharp.

i think this is a big mental load off the team, to know that we can play to win with Jaybo if Nesbitt gets hurt.

I think a bigger part of the equation was that our interior line played well. The first few snaps for Nesbitt looked good too. Had he not gotten injured, Josh would have had a huge game.

Few saw a future in Goose either. Especially after a narrow win over UCF. There is a reason CPJ is getting millions and I am watching the game from the upper deck.

I'll let the coaches pick the personnel.

You're right. Can't remember who the #2 was but Joe was close to seeing the bench due to decision making issues. It's hard to remember sometimes after the fact. I think the difference this time is that we have 2 that we can win with it looks like.

I remember when AJ Suggs made his last appearance against UGA in 2003; I think Reggie had been injured in the first half. I had honestly forgotten Suggs was on the roster.
