Jaybo Shaw

Sometimes a time to reflect might be a good idea, If there is anyone that deserves the opportunity it's Tevin, he has all the intangibles. But the real problem is the Oline. The Oline would be more productive drive blocking or pass blocking the the whole game and let the athletes play off the block. all the crap about cut blocking only works against slow DL players or with Oline players with quick feet which we don't have . The True D1 Dline players are big and quick all they have to do is keep there hands in front of them wait for the cut push the lineman to the ground go make the tackle. LSU Did it, JSU did it once they settled down, Clemson did it and Miami did it and I pretty sure UNC will also. The question is what will our coaches do help the players we have.

Shaw would not have lasted more than a quarter against CU or UM... everytime he gets hit he gets up looking like he has to do a #2. For all of you that never played football that means he got rocked and cant breathe. The guy just simply doesn't have the body for this O at this level.

Nesbitt had 29 yards on 14 carries.

Of course, as an offense we only had 95 on 35. Wow that is depressing.

The good news is we had 133 passing! I think James Johnson is trying to rejoin the team! Who said we wouldn't be able to pass the ball as well as we run it?

Nah, all this means is they were about as good a Gardner-Webb.

I have to be honest. Although our OL is the biggest problem, and our blocking this year at all positions is the second biggest problem, Josh's handling of the offense is poor as compared to the typical quarterbacks that PJ has used the last ten years.

Near the end of the Miami game, I was thinking that Josh should move to safety if he wants an NFL career.

I like Josh but I just don't see him making the reads that he needs to make.

do you not see him making the reads or are there reads to be had? it's easy to see it when you're watching replays on tv.

The drive in the 4th where he kept it everytime was the read against Clemson. CPJ told him that if they're keying on Dwyer, then keep the ball and blast them.

Sometimes there isn't going to be any other read but to just tuck it and go.

and since this a Jaybo thread....

Believe me when i tell you that Jaybo would not have beaten Clemson, and there's no way he would've done any better against Miami

He has the arm of a HS Jr. I'm sorry. He just doesn't have the armstrength to really compete, and by that I mean, use his arm to comeback and win a game at this level.

I don't think he could've made 10% of the throws that Nesbitts made or completed this year.

But that's just my opinion, like it or not. I go back to the Duke Game last year when 8 or his 9 completions were to the same dude and he underthrew the deep ball (that actually went for 6) by 3 or 4 yds and it was only a 40 yrd pass.
