Jaybo

I believe he should also get, "game ball," recognition for his play when Josh was hurt in ugag game. He came in cold, and kept drive going that led to a score, by helping get a first down. This gave Josh time to get his bearings after being hit.

My thoughts on the subject from an earlier thread:

.

With Nesbitt hurt in the 4th quarter, the game still undecided, the uga defense fired up and jumping up and down, and the uga crowd raising hell, Shaw came in cold for three plays, including a pitch for a crucial first down on the second play. The first and third plays he went right into the teeth of the uga line and gained yardage while holding on to the ball. For his excellent performance under very difficult circumstances, I award him a "Muddy" (my personal award for reserve players who come into the game cold in pressure situations and contribute greatly) with all the Rights, Honors, and Privileges appurtenant thereto.

Exellent. I had not seen your remarks but I agree completely.

He's still the #2 starter if the #1 starter goes down.

It seems impossible that you could pass Calculus.

Or you are so contrarian on purpose that you don't mind saying retarded stuff if thats what it takes to get attention.

Jaybo is his own biggest critic; I think he'll be the first one to tell all of us that he needs to work on a lot of things. If he does take time to work on it, he'll be great for this system.

Think about it. Josh goes down. Do you tell people the 1st string QB is playing?

Please use some common sense.

I think we would all agree without Jabo, (Mississippi St, Duke), our season could and most likely would have been a desaster. Now, I'm not one of those who think's he should replace Nesbit but I do know he has been a very big part of our success this year and he deserves some credit for that. Just my opinion.

I agree Jaybo has been Very valuable this year--however--this a TEAM effort and I'm sure any player will tell you that each and everyone is important!! P.S.-and Josh IS #1.

Put down the shovel and quit digging.

I am not arguing whether when a guy goes down if the backup is first string or second string. That can be a very complicated discussion.

BUT the guy who takes the field for the first series is the STARTER. He is not the #2 starter. HE is the STARTER.

I like Jaybo a lot and he certainly helped this team when needed. But he will only play as an emergency type QB as he simply does not have the size/strength to break tackles at the LOS which is required in this offense at QB at this level, as seen Saturday, eg. he was tackled with one hand from behind.
