Congrats!
Prob our first walk-on since Sean Bedford to be All-ACC..... expect Fusile to be a Burlsworth winner like Bedford (2010) before he's through.
Once upon a time, if you became a starter at a regular position, i.e., non-special teamer, you pretty much got elevated to a scholly, numbers permitting. Probably happened for Sean after 2008 Spring Practice. Can’t remember but was Bedford given a scholarship before being named All-ACC?
Don't take this personally.... Just saw an opportunity to quote Three Year LettermanOnce upon a time, if you became a starter at a regular position, i.e., non-special teamer, you pretty much got elevated to a scholly, numbers permitting. Probably happened for Sean after 2008 Spring Practice.
Looking at the old media guides, 2008 shows Bedford as a walk-on defensive end, but 2009 shows him as a C who lettered in 2008 & no designation as a walkon. 2010 MG, page 12, says he switched to C in 2008 Spring Practice, beating out two year starter Dan Voss.
2023 MG says he was 1st Team All-ACC in 2009 & 2010.
Overall, lettered 2007-08-09-10.
