This is correct.
I would definitely start comparing apples to apples with the 2009 class, and even then it is sometimes a stretch.
Agree that it's really hard to compare for a lot of reasons.
Gailey's classes were clearly a good bit better than the services rated them. Johnson's classes are likely to be underrated as well.
On comparing next year -- "they" say that GA is strong in 2009 with a lot of good academic kids, and UGA will be taking a small class of about 17 with only one RB which is the skill position where GT needs uniquely high numbers and quality.
This is a different situation from 2003 which apparently was not a really strong year for Georgia and UGA took 25 that year.
