Johnson tired of O line excuses

Reminds me of this

Remember when we hired that second OL coach, Ron West? Clearly he is just here for pass protection, because our run block definitely still has the Sewak hallmarks.

Sewak is excellent at coaching the shoe string blocking scheme. Dive for the shoe strings, Boys!

I can see you don't fully appreciate the intricacies of our blocking scheme. Which part of the shoestring blocking scheme are you talking about? The belly flop or the ankle dive? They may look alike, but are they very different.

Is that a check that's made at the line of scrimmage?

Does CPJ still expect his OL to cut block? It doesn't work very well against athletic defensive linemen. And, if the defense plays smart our guy is out of the play on the ground.

I'd take some of that 2014 SS any day.

We can do much better than 2014. Losing to puke & uwhine&cheese, then beating ugag sux in its' own way.

And his "mad" is just a show to protect his pal Mikey. He wants everyone to think, "see how hard I am on my buddy?" If he were, Mikey would have been long gone.

So...i wasnt too mad at the Oline. Thought pass blocking was night and day better.

What I was mad at was Abacks not knowing to go in motion and JT not having someone to pitch to that would have gone for nice gains.

That was way more worrisome for me. They just didnt know the damn play.

I'm tired of PJ being tired of offensive line excuses. I sincerely believe a better OL coach would have made us a playoff team in 2014 and at least 6-6 last year.

However, we were also ACC Coastal Champs, won a major bowl, I don't understand what you are saying at all. Even if we beat FSU we would have played in the same bowl so it's really even hard to call that game a total loss.

Yes, losing to those assmuchers sucks but that was one of our best seasons since 1990. What metric are you using to grade us?

In tex's world, you're graded using the Alabama function. It's a stepwise function that evaluates to 1 if you're Alabama, and zero otherwise.

Pass blocking was better. Our guys got in the faces of the man they were blocking and stayed with them. They can do the same thing on running plays - when the defensive guy is fighting off a blocker there should not be a RB in college that can't break an arm tackle. But, we do the belly flop too many times. Hell, I saw one of our tackles try to cut off the defensive end by reaching his knees with a "cut block". Nope, it did not work. Now, if our guy had just fired out, kept his feet and then made contact and keep contact, our RB would have been able to turn the corner. But, instead the DE made the stop for a loss. That my friends is piss poor coaching.

Pass block was better because we hired a coach to teach pass block. Run block was the same because we had the same coach teaching run block. It is clear to me now that Shaq Mason was the real coach of the 2014 line. He was the only missing element from the 2015 lineup.

Experienced Abacks and wide receivers

So why did I get continuously attacked when the coach is agreeing with me on the other thread?

I completely agree with you. Even though we won, we played like crap. Just over 100 yds rushing says it all.

But we won so we move on to next week.
