The following is a quote from Rivals on the Tech page, I am not a member so I can't read the rest of the article, anyone know anything about this? Anyone a Rival's member?

"Georgia Tech athletic director Dan Radakovich has reportedly been very active in recent days making contacts and conducting interviews. While several names have surfaced repeatedly since Chan Gailey was fired, Kentucky offensive coordinator Joker Phillips has not emerged as a potential candidate ... until now."

I could see him as Muschamp's OC or on Hatcher's staff for that matter.

Joker would not leave UK for an OC job. He's in line to take over as HC when Brooks leaves in a year or two.

How many guys in line to take over ever take over?

I'm willing to bet a large amount of money Koker will not be the head football coach at UK. What happens when UK goes 1-7 in the SEC next year and they fire the whole staff?

Joker is very popular there with the fans, players, and administration. It's no secret he's going to be the next HC there UNLESS some other HC job comes along.

I live din LEX for awhile and was a season ticket holder (for the Curry years). It's no sure thing. You do realize outside of Lousiville KY is about 98% white and they still have a big issue with race in that state?

I grew up in Louisville and I don't see any problem with race where Joker is concerned. UK fans love the guy.

he was my double curve ball from japan...and there may be another candidate coming soon no one mentioned too.

this is officially the second list IMO

Second list???

As in 2nd choice or 2nd list in case the first doesn't pan out?

I still think it will be Muschamp or Hatcher. I guess Tenuta is still an option as well. I was out of it most of the weekend. Has Tenuta ever interviewed?

thanks for the info.

come on down Zook!
Grobe in the mix???
Jimmy Johnson does want the job? (provided he can continue his NFL Sunday work)

What I don't get is that we supposedly have this great job as the whole CanChan crowd claimed, yet we are left digging through coaches with a lot of question marks. To do this in a year when everyone seems to be firing their coach is a concern. The candidates are either unproven D1 assistants or 1AA coaches (including Navy). I thought we were supposed to do better. Furthermore, it now appears that we will end up with a 3rd or 4th choice, which should be expected considering what we saw in other jobs such as Miami, Minnesota, and Alabama last year. It's hard to get proven commodities when you fire a coach whose had some success. None of the candidates so far have been what I would call an exciting hire given that they all are flawed and none appears to be any closer to uniting the fans. We should have at least waited until after the bowl game when we would have a better picture of the landscape. Our knee jerk reaction is going to cost us.

The liberal socialists always want you to believe that racism is everywhere; it's how they push their affirmative action programs.

GT1992: What makes you think we were going to get a "proven" DI-A head coach? It's not that we don't want them, but we can't afford them. I'd be shocked if we pay the new guy significantly more than we paid Chan.

Almost every school will end up with their 3rd or 4th choice. It is rare for anyone or any business to be able to hire the"perfect' choice. The exception this year is Texas A&M who is going to wish they had gotten their 3rd or 4th choice.

Also remember the one you consider our number 1, I may believe they should not even be on anyone's list.
