Jonathan Chastain - post game hit & run

Haven't seen this posted anywhere. Jonathan Chastain who is an administrator for one of the Georgia Tech pages on Facebook; his son hit by a hit and run driver last night after the game. They were returning to their tailgate in the Blue lot when his son was hit. The driver took off. They spent the night at Egleston where his son had to have surgery on his leg with both bones broken. A Clemson fan who happened to be a nurse stopped to help them until paramedics arrived. We passed by just afterwards. Prayers for this young man for quick healing and peace. Jonathan has been a great ambassador for Tech. We wish his family all the best and a hopeful end in finding this driver.

We parked in that lot. There were emergency vehicles close to the entrance when we left the game. Might have been him.
 
That's horrible. I think I inadvertently met him and his crew on my way into the Blue Lot before the game. I stopped and asked them if the lot was the Blue Lot, etc. What a nightmare for him and his son! Prayers are up!

I will pray for the Chastain family. This horrible situation reminds me to put life in the proper perspective. I often get so upset over Tech football and need to remember football is just a game. Thank you, DinnerJacket, for informing us about Jonathan Chastain's son. As many people praying for both he and his family the better!
 
I’ve tailgated alongside them back at the Gator Bowl a few years ago and his Basketball season tix are a few rows in front of mine. Great guy and really loves GT sports.

I saw him say that they had the make/model of the car and a partial number on the plate so I would think that the police will be able to figure out who owns that car. Hopefully they will catch that Bastard.

Dude is salt-of-the-earth sidewalk alum (almost deserves to be called *the* sidewalk alum), and lives and breathes Georgia Tech. Sucks this happened, show some love if you're able.

When you say sidewalk alum do you mean like sidewalk fan?
 
So would you guys rather sit next to a GT fan wearing nothing but GT body paint or a UGA fan? Asking for a friend.

Is this in the news anywhere? I'd like to know whenever they catch the guy who did this. Surely he saw a kid? What an idiot.
