Jonathan Chastain - post game hit & run

Probably a much better fan than the turds that are scared to wear anything other than khakis, brown loafers/belt, and a tucked in blue polo to a game.
Wasn't that PJ's gameday outfit for the greater part of 10 years?

Cameras in the area captured the incident. The report said the footage showed the sedan slow for a moment before fleeing the scene. Investigators were not able to get the car’s tag number, but the report said additional footage was captured by Georgia World Congress Center cameras that might provide new evidence.

Jonathan Chastain, a single father and prominent Georgia Tech fan known as the GT Viking, had taken his two youngest children to Monday’s Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, according to the GoFundMe page. In an interview with Channel 2 Action News, he said bystanders offered immediate assistance.

“A random Clemson fan, who happened to be a nurse, stopped to help us,” Chastain told the news station. “If anyone knows who she is, I would love to find her and tell her, ‘Thank you.’”

Kaine’s right leg was initially put in a cast, but doctors decided to remove it and perform surgery instead, the GoFundMe page said. His recovery is expected to take months.

The fundraiser, which has garnered more than $6,500, was created to help the Chastain family as Jonathan takes at least two weeks of unpaid leave from work. The page said Chastain has health insurance but will still be responsible for deductibles and co-pays, as well as the cost of physical therapy.

Chastain and the creator of the GoFundMe page, Bob Cookson, are the administrators of an unofficial Georgia Tech football fan group on Facebook that has about 12,000 members.

Thought and prayers for speedy recovery. I hope they arrest the cocksucker who did this.

Can someone please post the text of this

Police are searching for the driver of a black Cadillac sedan who was involved in a hit-and-run crash with an 11-year-old boy outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium after the Georgia Tech-Clemson football game Monday night.

Kaine Chastain of Jasper was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston Hospital with a broken leg that required surgery, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help cover his medical expenses. He remains in the hospital after his “tibia and fibula were broken clean through,” the fundraising page said.

A crash report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said Kaine ran ahead of his family as they crossed Northside Drive and did not have the right-of-way. The black sedan was going through a yellow light, but a group of pedestrians had already started to cross Northside Drive near the stadium, according to the report. Kaine’s father, Jonathan Chastain, said he witnessed the incident as he walked behind with his 7-year-old daughter.

Officers were called to the intersection of Northside Drive and Thurmond Street just after 11:20 p.m., the report said. Police found Kaine “screaming in pain” with “an obvious broken lower right leg,” according to the report.

We parked in that lot. There were emergency vehicles close to the entrance when we left the game. Might have been him.
It was, we walked past when he was getting looked at by the fire department paramedics. I got to give it to the kid, he was not screaming in agony or anything like I would have been. In fact, I didn't know it was a hit and run until later. He was so calm, seemingly, that I thought maybe he had just fallen on the crappy sidewalk across the street and sprained an ankle or something. I thought "well this seems like overkill for a fall. Kid seems fine"

Tough kid.

Yeah, we walked past there well after the event but saw the ambulance/cops. They left about the time we got into our car.

Wish them all the best. Lucky it wasn’t worse.

Haven't seen this posted anywhere. Jonathan Chastain who is an administrator for one of the Georgia Tech pages on Facebook; his son hit by a hit and run driver last night after the game. They were returning to their tailgate in the Blue lot when his son was hit. The driver took off. They spent the night at Egleston where his son had to have surgery on his leg with both bones broken. A Clemson fan who happened to be a nurse stopped to help them until paramedics arrived. We passed by just afterwards. Prayers for this young man for quick healing and peace. Jonathan has been a great ambassador for Tech. We wish his family all the best and a hopeful end in finding this driver.
Prayers to the family

Hit and runs are out of control. In the past 5 years, I’ve been in two accidents. Both hit and runs. Bunch of assholes. Get uninsured motor coverage people.

I've had over 17 accidents in front of our house since 2006 - sharp curve, no visibility - mostly single car accidents except for the time I was cutting the grass on Saturday and a BMW slammed into a Jeep flipping it over and pinning the passenger under the roll bar. I ran to try to flip the jeep but could not. The good news is that the entire front of the BMW sheered off and was laying in my yard - including the license plate. I was so happy until the Fairfax County Sheriff Deputy arrived and advised me that the car was stolen.

Luckily, the woman in the Jeep with her arm pinned under the rollbar was OK.

Here is a pic of the dark curve my family has to navigate every day:
