JT regressing?

As much as it pains me to say it, JT is starting to remind me of one Reginald Ball in that he is not progressing despite more experience. His football IQ is very low...i.e. Wasting timeouts every game, not changing the play at the line on short yardage despite seeing 9 and 10 man fronts, taking ridiculous sacks instead of throwing the ball away, etc, etc. I know the OL stinks but no way does JT deserve a complete pass on the way this season has gone. And just for comparison...

Stats in year 2 as starter for JT (redshirt jr): 44% completion percentage, 120 pass yds/game, 44 rush yds/game, 1.4 pass TD/game, .7 rush TD/game, 1.3 TO/game

Stats in year 2 as starter for RB (true soph): 49.7% comp %, 179 pass yds/game, 28 rush yds/game, 1.3 pass TD/game, .16 rush TD/game, 1.5 TO/game

Totally different offenses. Reggie had Megatron. Apples and oranges etc. Also, this feels like a repost

Yep, you figured it out. Has absolutely nothing to do with the OL blocking the wrong people and/or no one. Has nothing to do with poor AB and BB performance.

Blame JT for it all.

And good thing you started a new thread so we can all know from where the idiotic opinions are emanating.

This insightful post from the guy who tried to say the defense wasnt bad. I didn't say he was the only thing wrong this year, but a lot of people on here are giving him a free pass because of the OL, injuries at AB and WR, etc.

I didn't say the defense wasn't bad. I said they are not to blame.

You can't compare apples to oranges and expect anyone to agree with you.

JT is regressing if your definition of regressing is running for his life and no NFL WRs to pass to.

"You can really tell how little some people know about the game of football when they come on here and start complaining about the defense.

Only gave up 10 points in the 2nd half.

I fail to see a problem with that."

That's a direct quote from your post on the other thread.

And your point is?

But the fact that he can't recognize a 10 man front and call an audible, or not waste at least one timeout each game, or have piss poor ball security game after game have nothing to do with his supporting cast.

The fumble was frustrating because he's been doing that for way too long (holding the ball with 1 hand). Hardly means he has regressed.

Kill yourself. If you watched the game today, JT played very well. He had a bad fumble but other than that, he made good reads and his throws were on target with the exception of a few miscommunications with WRs (ran a slant and go instead of a slant and curl or something along those lines).

We have true freshmen playing all over the field, an O line that was letting 2-4 Pitt players into the backfield on every passing play, and somehow JT is Reggie Ball because he is "regressing"? If he didn't regress from last year with the ragtag supporting cast around him, he'd be the best QB in NCAAF history by a long shot.

And your point is?

My point is that I started this thread asking ( hence the question mark) if JT has regressed and giving my opinion. Meanwhile, you go on to ignore the question and attack my credibility for even posting the question when you try to defend our terrible defense because "they only gave up 10 points in the second half". If anyone here is lacking credibility, I'm pretty sure it's you.

I haven't seen anyone but maybe Wreck Em agree with you here. Everyone else appears to be in agreement with my position that you can't say he's regressed given what he has to work with.

Goodnight!
