JT5 has now surpassed Nesbitt as my favorite QB under CPJ because...

Nesbitt laughs at your attempts at comparison

I've never seen another QB rip the ball out of a defenders grasp. One of my favorite plays I've seen. I can't think of any single memorable plays like that from JT except maybe the juke TD in the Orange Bowl. They both were very good QBs with a huge will to win unlike some other QB that transfered.

Agreed, that has to be my favorite individual GT play of all time.

Thomas is a better QB and it's not even that close

that's not the question, though
"best" as far as skill-set /= "favorite" in terms of which one a fan likes more for many different reasons

Nesbitt has in his favor the notion that his toughness & effort helped bring Tech football back from the beige and return to the gold & white
the number of games that we pulled out of the fire with that attitude showed the impact that Nesbitt brought to the whole team. a few players seem to be able to command such a gravitas that it increases the effort of every other player.
4th and Nesbitt was more than a play, it was a credo

JT5 was able to take the small base that had been set up and lift the expectation level for the program higher. and he personally saved our asses many times with his incredible ability to make plays; from Georgia Southern to Georgia.
clearly, he was a better passer and much faster on the run.
JT5 might not have been as strong on 4th and 1, but he was far more dangerous on 3rd and 6.

what is great for Georgia Tech football, and for us, is that we can argue about which one of these was one of the greatest GT qbs in the modern era, and both have been pretty recently. we have a good group in place to fight behind JT, so im happy that our options at QB are strong

JfN
2 coastal divisions (08, 09)
1-0 ACCCG
0-1 Orange bowl
0-3 Bowls
1-2 vs uga

JT5
1 Coastal division ('14)
0-1 ACCCG
1-0 Orange bowl
2-0 Bowls
2-1 vs uga

Pretty even. JfN bettee in conference, JT5 better OOC.

Interesting that Nesbitt, Tevin, and JT5 have all been extremely soft-spoken guys. I wonder if that's a trait of an option QB (selfless, stats usually go to other players if he's doing his job right) or just a coincidence. Or maybe CPJ just avoids the primadonnas.

Vad Lee was pretty vocal too, and look how that turned out.

Nesbitt really only played two games against U[sic]GA, right? Or are you counting 2007 under Gailey when he played seven snaps?

You're right. I forgot he didn't complete that third season. So one less uga and bowl loss.
