well, him being from France, which is close to Switzerland - the home of Ovalmaltine (original name) - he might have heard of it. btw, the original swiss version is about 1000x better than the US-made version. also, it has no sugar.

That's an impressive lineup of talent. Unfortunately talent and egos like that don't usually artificially gather to make music that adds up to the sum of the parts. Traveling Wilburys would be the exception, and even that only worked once.

Also calling yourself as good as Led Zeppelin off this bat is a curse of death. Rock'n'roll rarely works with that kind of self important awareness.

Led Zeppelin itself was a supergroup as were Cream, The Yardbirds (the pre-Zep band), Blind Faith, and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

I remember the Firm when i was in HS, although i thought they sucked, they sold many records

More recently, the Raconteurs would be an example. so, not as rare as you suggest
