Early signing is nothing but good for a school like us in my opinion. It hurts the factories because they can't dangle a scholly in front of a guy who's a placeholder for them and then pull it at the last minute. It also gives us a couple months to focus on fewer spots when flips/attrition occurs, and puts pressure on guys flirting with our offers when there's only a few spots left in the class.

It seems the same to me, just moved up to December. You could still sign guys after the February signing day.

How is it different? Most players are signing today just like they did with the February day. If you're trying to find replacements for flips, it seems just like trying to find replacements in February or March.

I guess this is where i say something vulgar about your mother or "boyfriend" but alas i have too much sang-froid for such infantile discourse. It is a shame that ST has such vile posters as you

Why are you so homophobic? You have a problem with JJacket's alternative lifestyle?

Not exactly a ringing endorsement

I agree with your thought. But the difference may be that there are a lot more quality unsigned players post-early-signing-day than there are post-regular-signing-day.

I am "sympathetic" toward all deviations from my personal proclivities--but--refrain from obnoxious vulgarity toward others.-- "to each his own".
