I completely forgot they were playing them Thursday! I chose to do college football for my TAG seminar, and since Tech was full, I decided to go with NC State since they seem like an up and coming team. What can you guys tell me about them? Will they win Thursday?
 
I sure hope so. With what is being touted as the best QB in the ACC, and a 'dark horse' to win it, I really hope we (ACC) can beat the middle of the road SEC team.
 
Hmm... Just checked their game last year, and they lost 34-0. Ehhh.
 
Look for an early sophomore jinx in this one. O'Brien needs another year yet (just in time to get us). I hope I'm wrong.

Stephen Garcia is a talent. Combined with the Ol' Ball Coach there could be some magic. Take the Cocks, just on a hunch.
 
I really hope State busts out this year. I'd love to play them in the ACCCG, and I think it's quite possible with as weak as the Atlantic is this year.

What you need to know about State is they had a true freshman QB who came on really strong towards the end of last year, throwing over 200 consecutive passes without a pick and leading them to completely wax UNC. That guy is the 2nd coming of Phillip Rivers and Matt Ryan combined, and will carry State to 8+ win seasons the next few years. I'm glad they're off our schedule this year, and hope they can lay some losses on some of our Coastal rivals. Should be fun to watch if their D can scare up some stops.

This is one of those "the score doesn't really indicate how close the game was" scores. Score was actually 3-0 at the half, 10-0 at the end of the third. Russell Wilson was knocked out of the game early, and the backup came in and threw several picks, and his backup was extremely unsuccessful as well.

Now, granted, the USCeast QB also threw 4 picks, so no telling how bad it could have been if that hadn't happened...

I pick NC State to win this one...
 
For what it's worth: they say the ol' ball coach is feeling froggy about the season.

I think the better question is who's NOT going to watch this game? I mean it's been FAR too long since there was any college football to watch.

I second the hope that NCST blasts the doors off of USC and Spurrier.
 
I will be watching in earnest. NC State might be this year's Utah, a darkhorse team, and I want to see if it comes to pass. As for the result, I really don't care as long as the game is good. I don't buy into this ACC v. SEC stuff. The only SEC team I want to lose consistently is UGA, and perhaps LSU after last year's debacle.
 
I'm going to have to write this game down on a sticky note --because I will be pissed if I'm flipping channels around 9pm and realize that I've missed the first half :mad:
