and could not believe some of the rants on the board. So I will say this and then go to bed.
1. BC was clearly the best team in the state of Georgia tonight and that includes the Falcons (I know...that ain't saying much).
2. There was holding all night long on both sides of the line. The officials had the luxury of calling what they wanted if and when they wanted to call it. Officiating was simply demoralizing.
3. Our problem was not at QB. Taylor looked almost as good as he did in the bowl game but this time without Calvin and WVU to make it easy. He had a great run that was, of course, called back because of holding.
4. Our tackling in the secondary could have been better. Our run blocking could have been better. We dropped some balls we should have caught. We didn't open up the holes inside tackle for Tashard.
5. Baybay looked like Calvin on one reception that he took away from the defender. Ryan is the best QB I have seen at Grant Field since Joe Hamilton.
6. Both sides know they have been in a hard-fought ball game. I hope we don't have anyone out for our remaining games, but I will surprised if we don't.
7. I was astounded that the officials, who reviewed many calls when reversal would be to BC's advantage, did not give us the courtesy of reviewing the touchdown pass they took away from us. No matter, we got the touchdown anyway.
8. The ACC obviously has the lowest paid officials in the country and still isn't getting anywhere close to their money's worth.
9. Our guys did not quit. They stayed in the game and played hard until the final second ticked off.
10. Be thankful if you are not a ND fan. At least we're going to win some more games this year.
Good night and sleep tight.
