keeping cpj

:laugher:

We've got 4 national championships to their 5. Three of them came in the modern era under one coach. we've had a national championship under 4 different coaches. Like I said, we have just as much prestige as they do.

I think we see more fight from the defense this week, the O has been carrying us and those guys know it. It will take a total team effort to win, these boys are hungry.

Egbu has had trouble recovering and will be out again.

These guys are fired up.

Excellent!!!

Tell Egbu we are all rooting for his comeback.

if money ever does become an issue, i would hope that maybe our great loyal fanbase should step up and fork out. the more we win, the more solvent the a.d. will be.

Maybe we (the GT fanbase) should do that now to support the coach/program and not wait until it's too late.

Three, as a coach, you have an easier route to a BCS game in the ACC than you do in the Big 12.

Don't necessarily agree with this BOR.

A one-loss B12 team like Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska will get consideration for the BCS over a one-loss ACC team.

We have many advantages at Georgia Tech... but that ain't one of them.

We basically have to win the ACC to get any shot at the BCS. Falling short of that goal, we have to beat Georgia plus post a good record to get any type of decent bowl.

That may have been true the last 4 years when the ACC has been down, but not in a couple of years when its going to be an all out brawl to decide who is the ACC champ. Too many good teams that are teetering on great that have much more of a football background than the Big 12 teams. Don't forget that ACC members have more NC's over the last 30 years than the Big 12. When FSU and Miami rise back to power, you're going to see one loss ACC teams taken over Big 12 teams.

I am so disgusted to hear these rumors about CPJ shopping around for a better job with more money. (Skims back through thread.) Yep, seems as if it's going to be a bidding war between Notre Dame and Florida. I can't believe he interviewed with Florida and Notre Dame the week before the VPI game. I'm tired of this crap. I'm gonna launch www.FirePaulJohnson.com immediately and send the link to Dinich and the AJC. And don't think I won't be booing as loud as I can from section 602 on Saturday!

BOR,

Please call me when FSU is back in the national hunt with only one loss.

The longer "Hot Bobby" hangs on in Tallahassee, the longer it will hurt their program. They still have 2 or 3 mediocre years ahead of them, at a minimum. The development of their defensive players has dramatically declined in the last 5 or 6 years.

This thread is stupid. Its baseless fear with no logic behind it.

Someone compared us to Texas Tech the other day. We will always be good, maybe even win the ACC every once in awhile. But you can NOT win a championship with a gimmick offense. It just can't be done, was pretty much their emphasis.

Sure would be nice if Tech added a some other degrees that would attract players looking for something different. I'm pretty sure that 95% (or more) of the players end up in the Management program.
