Ken Whisenhunt

I still think Paul Johnson is the man for TECH. I think Wisenhunt would be great when Paul retires. Of course at that point one may consider Godsey or a combination of Godsey, Wisenhunt and Giff Smith.
Wisenhunt and Godsey are still proving thmeselves in the NFL and I don't think college is on their radar.
I think Paul may be missing a defensive minded coach that can recruit defensive studs and if that can be fixed I say we become a force in the ACC.

I think he has another good ten to twelve years before the stress gets to him and he decides to let it go. I would think that he would like to achieve some milestones such as coah a heisman winner, maybe two or the ACC champoinships. Win a few more against UGA and maybe, just maybe a NC or at least be in the hunt. This response is full of wishful thinking.

When do the ten to twelve good years start?

I doubt they will extend his contract if that happens.

If he wants real security he will beat UGA.

I can want to beat the hell out of Mike Tyson more than anything in the world, too. But guess what?

This is the difference between Gailey and Johnson.

With Gailey, I at least always thought we had a chance.

I don't see us ever beating those guys with Johnson again.

Not sure I understand. Is feeling like they have a chance better than actually winning once in a while?

I remember saying that in 1980 and 1981 and 1987-1989 and again in 1995, 1996 and 1997 and again the entire time Gailey was here.

Pessimism is not altogether unhealthy and I can deal with most of it from our fans. But this whole "its hopeless we should just quit or give up" idea that seems to be gaining some traction around here is baffling to me.

Once you throw in the towell, you can never get it back.

SOME PEOPLE ASK, WHY GO TO THE MOON?

THEY MAY WELL ASK, WHY CLIMB THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN?

WHY 35 YEARS AGO, FLY THE ATLANTIC?

WHY DOES RICE PLAY TEXAS?

At this point the crowd which contained many university alumni, faculty, and students started cheering. But JFK knew better than to slow down; without a pause he continued:

WE CHOOSE TO GO TO THE MOON

The cheering intensified, not cheering about a football team but about a new goal

WE CHOOSE TO GO TO THE MOON AND DO THE OTHER THINGS,
NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE EASY BUT BECAUSE THEY ARE HARD

BECAUSE THAT CHALLENGE IS ONE WE INTEND TO WIN

GT is going to need its own TARP bailout from Obamaland to cover our toxic assets from Coach buyouts

Me too! After that 51-7 thrashing given to Chan in '02 by UGA, I had so much faith that we could beat em next year!!!:rotfl:
